My very first colouring tutorial:-)... Colouring white

Hello all! I hope you are well? Today I would like to share my very first tutorial (can you feel the pressure???) which I made for Copic Marker Europe, about "Colouring White" because white needs to be coloured:-)!
Bonjour à toutes! Une grande première aujourd'hui (et un peu de pression), puisque je vous montre mon tout premier tuto réalisé pour Copic Marker Europe... Il s'agit de "Colorier le Blanc", puisque le blanc se colorie:-)

For this tutorial, I am using a Make It Crafty image called Cici, and to colour white, I use my Cool Greys, mostly C3, C1, C0 (and just a little bit of C5 at the end).
J'ai utilisé une adorable image de Make It Crafty qui s'appelle Cici, et pour colorier le blanc j'utilise mes Copics gris C3, C1, C0 (et juste un peu de C5 à la fin).

White is the first thing I colour on my image. I find it easier to start that way because my grey areas will look darker than they really are with nothing else coloured, then once the image is coloured they will look whiter (so no risk of making it too dark in the first place) and I will then only add little touches of grey for adjustement.
Si l'image doit comporter de grandes zones blanches, je commence par colorier le blanc avant toute chose car les zones blanches "grisées" sembleront plus foncées si rien d'autre n'est colorié, puis beaucoup plus blanches une fois l'image coloriée (ce qui évite de faire trop foncé au départ). Je n'ai alors plus qu'à ajouter quelques petites touches de gris supplémentaires pour ajuster.

Step 1:

I start with C3, where I want the darkest areas to be. My light source is coming from the right.
Etape 1:

Je commence avec mon C3, là où je veux les zones les plus foncées. Ma lumière vient de la droite.

Step 2:

I use C1, covering my C3 and making my grey area wider.
Etape 2:
J'utilise mon C1 pour couvrir la zone coloriée en C3 et l'élargir.

Step 3:

Use C0, to expand the grey a bit more.
Etape 3:
Même démarche avec mon C0 maintenant, que j'utilise pour agrandir encore un peu la zone d'ombre grise.

Step 4:

Colour the rest of your image. On the photo below, I have not added any grey to the parts I want to be white, I have coloured everything except the white.
Etape 4:
Je colorie tout le reste de l'image, sauf le blanc auquel je ne touche pas.

Step 5:

Now to give more depth, I am going to add just a little bit of C5 in the "darkest" white areas.
Etape 5:
Pour avoir un peu plus de profondeur, je vais ajouter un tout petit peu de C5 dans les zones les plus foncées.

Step 6:

Add a little bit of C3 to blend the C5.
Etape 6:
Et un peu de C3 pour adoucir mon C5.

And voilà!

Skin and eyes/Peau et yeux: E000, 00, 02, 11, BG01

Hair/Cheveux: B21, C3, 5, 7, 9

Flower/Fleur: C0, 1, 3, 5, Y000, 00, 21

Cherry/Cerise: R32, 35, 37, 59, E33, 35, 37

Ground/Sol: W0, 1, 3

Hello again:-)! I'm back to share another card I made, this time for the Review at All That Scraps with the new CCDesigns stamps of the February Release!
Here is the card I made using the adorable Pixie Lucy:-)

The stamps I used for my card are Pixie Lucy, Woodland Mushroom and Woodland Logos by CC Designs, I added an acorn and leaves in the corner from the CC Designs Cutter Acorn Set Die, DPs are by Toga and the punched border was made with a Fiskars punch. My image and sentiment are coloured with Copics of course!

Les tampons que j'ai utilisés sont Pixie Lucy, Woodland Mushroom et Woodland Logos de CC Designs, la découpe en haut à gauche vient des dies CC Designs Cutter Acorn Set Die, les papiers sont de chez Toga et la bordure est une perforatrice Fiskars. Mon image et le texte sont coloriés avec mes fidèles Copics bien sûr!

To make my scene, I used a few, just a few of the new Make It Crafty Paris elements for the background, there are so many elements, the possibilities are just endless! It took me a very long time to decide which ones I would use and I know I'll be using them A LOT - and not just because I am French LOL!!!
I wanted to have this gorgeous couple as the focus of my image and decided to use them on their own! This image is called Le Baiser Volé by Little Miss Muffet Stamps, and you can buy it as digi or BIG NEWS as rubber as well! Woohoo!
The adorable sentiment is from the new set I Heart You Tabs 2 by Whimsy Stamps, and of course the chippies are Ornate Corners by Make It Crafty! And my image is coloured with Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card!

Copic Marker Europe DT card - 100% Copics

Hello all! Today I would like to show you my first DT card for Copic Marker Europe. I decided I would make a 100% Copic card, well as close as possible to a 100% to celebrate, with the focus on my image and I chose an image reflecting my state!!!
Coucou! Aujourd'hui, je vous montre ma première carte de DT pour Copic Marker Europe. J'ai voulu faire une carte 100% Copic, du moins aussi proche que possible du 100% Copic pour fêter mon entrée sur ce blog, avec l'accent mis sur l'image, une image qui reflète bien mon état!!!

I have used two digi images by Make It Crafty for my card, Zoe All Excited and Rose Garden. My Rose Garden has been cropped, "mirrored", and used twice to have it exactly as I wanted it for my background, so don't be surprised if you find differences with the original image! The sentiment is a Paper Makeup stamp.
J'ai utilisé deux images de chez Make It Crafty - Zoe All excited et Rose Garden. Pour le fond, j'ai rogné Rose Garden, inversé l'image et je l'ai utilisé deux fois pour avoir le fond exactement comme je le souhaitais.

ATS February Release Preview Day Three!

Hello all! Today is the third day of All That Scraps February Previews, and we are showing you the new CC Cutters Dies, as well as some of the new stamps:-)!

Bonjour à toutes! C'est le 3e jour de présentation des nouveautés chez All That Scraps, et cette fois nous utilisons les nouvelles découpes, avec les tampons aussi:-)!

For my card, I used the Mushroom Border Die, and if you look closely, you can spot two leaves which are from the Acorns and Leaves Dies. I had to use the adorable Mushroom Girl with them, and a Woodland Logo which I have made into a sign, I used a toothpick coloured with a Copic for it. The Copics I used for my Mushroom Girl's outfit are E13, 15, 17, 19, 27, 29, 40, 41, 81. The DPs are by Toga.

Pour ma carte, j'ai utilisé la bordure Champignons, et si vous regardez bien, vous verrez 2 feuilles que j'ai ajoutées et qui viennent du die "Acorns and Leaves" (glands et feuilles). Forcément je les ai associés à cette petite craquante (Mushroom Girl) et j'ai fait un panneau avec un élément du set "Woodland Logos" et un cure-dent colorié au Copic. Les Copics que j'ai utilisés pour les vêtements sont E13, 15, 17, 19, 27, 29, 40, 41, 81 et les papiers sont de chez Toga.

ATS Preview Day Two

Hello all! I hope you are well? Thank you for all your lovely comments and birthday wishes, you have made my day! And thank you for the gorgeous cards and surprises I have received, you know who you are:-)! Today is the second day of Previews at All That Scraps, we are back to show you the new Sweet November stamps, adorable as always, and again a difficult choice, what do I start with? I know, my life is so complicated LOL! Well I decided it would be Shroom!

Bonjour à toutes! J'espère que vous allez bien? Merci pour tous vos commentaires et vos voeux d'anniversaire qui m'ont beaucoup touchée! Merci aussi pour les superbes cartes et surprises que j'ai reçues, vous vous reconnaîtrez:-)! Aujourd'hui chez All That Scraps, nous vous présentons les nouveaux tampons de la gamme Sweet November, adorables comme toujours, et encore un choix difficile à faire, lequel vais-je utiliser en premier? Question existentielle, je sais:-)! Et bien j'ai opté pour Shroom!

For my card I have used Sweet November Shroom, a sentiment from Amy R's Be Happy Sentiments and the Mushroom Border Die. I used white card for the mushroom border, then coloured it with the same Copics I used on my image, and of course, for once, I chose my DPs before colouring (which helped...). The DPs are by Toga (saveurs d'automne), I thought it would be nice to have Shroom look at a bird:-)

Shroom is only one of the new stamps, but there are lots of other new things, to see them all, don't forget to go to the ATS blog where you will see loads of gorgeous creations!

J'ai utilisé Shroom, un sentiment du nouveau set d'Amy R (Be Happy sentiments) et la découpe champignons (Mushroom Border die). Pour la découpe, j'ai utilisé du bristol blanc et colorié en utilisant les mêmes Copics que pour l'image (et bien sûr, euh pour une fois, j'avais choisi mes papiers avant de colorier, c'est vrai que ça aide). Papiers Toga, avec un petit oiseau que Shroom peut regarder:-)...

Shroom n'est qu'une nouveauté parmi plein d'autres. Pour ne rien rater, n'oubliez pas d'aller sur le blog d'All That Scraps où vous verrez plein de choses superbes!

To colour my image, I used the colours of my papers for reference and was also very inspired by my friend Jane from Jane's Box Of Colours's colouring. Not long ago, she coloured mushrooms so beautifully (like everything else!) and in shades that I loved, so I had them in mind while colouring my image. I used mainly E13, 15, 17, 19, 27, 29, 40, 41, 43 (for the top) and YG91, 95, 97 (for the trousers and ground).

Pour colorier mon image, j'ai utilisé les couleurs du papier certes mais je me suis aussi fortement inspirée de mon amie Jane. Il y a peu, elle a colorisé des champignons à la perfection comme tout ce qu'elle colorie, et dans des tons que j'ai trouvé très beaux et qui m'ont inspirée. J'ai utilisé les Copics E13, 15, 17, 19, 27, 29, 40, 41, 43 (pour le chapeau) et YG91, 95, 97 (pantalon et sol).

Hello all! Well, today is quite a special day for me... I am posting my first DT card for All That Scraps and I get to post it on my birthday! How is that for a fantastic birthday present?! To say that I am happy to join this fantastic DT and play with CC Designs stamps which I love so much is clearly an understatement... It is a dream to me!!! Every time I make a round card like this, I can't help thinking of Mary J, who makes the most beautiful little round cards! Look HERE!!! I really like that kind of cards, obviously clean and simple, my type:-)! So quite CAS and not much to say:-)! The heart flowers on the left and right come from the Tiddly Inks freebie mentioned, I cropped the image and copied and pasted my cropped image twice, then I made a mirrored image (by rotating it) to have a symetric design...

Chaque fois que je fais une petite carte ronde, je ne peux pas m'empêcher de penser à Mary J qui en fait des trop belles! Regardez ICI! J'aime beaucoup ce style de cartes, forcément, clean and simple, c'est tout moi:-)! Simple donc, pas grand chose à dire... Les fleurs coeur à gauche et à droite viennent du freebie de Christy, image que j'ai rognée puis copiée et collée 2 fois, j'en ai ensuite retournée une horizontalement pour avoir un dessin symétrique...

The title of my post reads "Casing Zoe", let me explain:-)... When I see this Tilda, I cannot take out of my mind the one Zoe coloured so so so beautifully with no black lines, which you can see HERE... Mine has nothing to do with hers, BUT I thought I would practice my folds on the dress and hat and try to achieve a sort of shiny velvety look, so I coloured my Tilda with Zoe's Tilda on my screen, hence the "casing Zoe":-)

J'ai dit dans mon titre que j'avais imité Zoe, je vous explique:-)... Quand je vois cette Tilda, je ne peux m'empêcher de penser à celle coloriée par Zoe sans les lignes, tellement belle... Vous pouvez la voir ICI... La mienne n'a rien à voir, mais je voulais m'entraîner à faire des plis sur la robe et le chapeau, alors j'ai colorié avec la Tilda de Zoe devant moi sur mon écran:-)...

To create my scene, I used Toadstool Garden twice, once to have Dahlia sitting, then I added more mushrooms to the left of my scene (cropping the image).

For the blades of grass, I used YG13, 17, 67, using my darkest colour first and flicking (from bottom of the blades of grass). Note to self: Do not forget to buy more YG and G Copics, I really need and want more LOL!

Pour faire ma scène, j'ai utilisé l'image Toadstool Garden 2 fois, une première fois pour installer Dahlia sur son champignon et une deuxième fois pour ajouter des champignons à gauche de ma scène. Pour les brins d'herbe, j'ai utilisé mes Copics YG13, 17, 67 en commençant par la couleur la plus foncée et en donnant des petits coups de marqueurs en partant de la base de l'herbe. Note à moi-même: acheter plus de Copics dans les tons de vert LOL!

Hello all! Me again:-), this time to tell you about everything that is going on at Little Miss Muffet Challenges! The theme for the current challenge is Anything Goes and you can use any image you want! Plus there is a DT call so if you want to work with lovely ladies and have fun with adorable images, now is the time:-) Speaking of adorable images, there is a freebie! I was very excited when I saw that freebie named Saffron, because she is one of the Sugar 'n Spice Dolls and I just LOVE those dolls! I was so excited that I made 2 cards LOL!!! Bonjour! Oui, c'est encore moi, cette fois pour vous parler de tout ce qui se passe chez Little Miss Muffet! Le challenge est on ne peut plus facile, le thème étant "Tout va", et vous pouvez utiliser les images que vous voulez! En plus, il y a appel à DT, alors si vous voulez "travailler" avec des dames adorables et vous amuser avec des images craquantes, c'est le moment! En parlant d'images craquantes, il y a en plus un freebie! J'étais super excitée de voir ce freebie, car c'est une adorable demoiselle de la gamme des Sugar 'n Spice Dolls et je les ADORE! For the rendering of texture on Saffron's hat and muffet, credit goes to Barbara, I coloured the white like her:-)! Pour le rendu de la texture sur le blanc du chapeau et manchon de Saffron, je me suis largement inspirée de la colorisation de Barbara:-)!

Then I thought I would make another little card using exactly the same scene and keeping the colours the same but using pencils this time, for a different style... Here is Saffron, coloured with Polychromos:-)...
Ensuite j'ai voulu faire une autre petite carte en gardant la même image et des couleurs semblables mais en coloriant au crayon, pour un style différent... Voici donc Saffron coloriée avec mes Polychromos:-)...

We are having a great challenge at Make It Colourful, which is to recolour an image from earlier in the year and share both images! And you have until January 11th to play, no reason to join us:-)!

I chose to recolour a special image, one I used for Zoe's special monthly challenges in July 2011 to celebrate Make It Crafty's first birthday, challenges in which I had so much fun participating! And also because I think this image is perfect to celebrate the new store:-)! The challenge was to use the colours of Make It Crafty, and I thought it would be nice to include the logo somewhere, that's why, with Zoe's permission, I included the logo in my image. Here is the image I coloured back in July 2011...

J'ai choisi de recolorier une image que j'avais utilisée pour les challenges spéciaux de juillet 2011 auxquels j'avais adoré participer, pour fêter l'anniversaire de Make It Crafty. Il fallait utiliser les couleurs du logo, et j'avais trouvé sympa l'idée de l'inclure dans mon image... Voici l'image version juillet 2011...

And the recoloured image, December 2011, for which I used the same colours + 4 other markers... I did not look at the original when I recoloured to avoid being influenced:-)

I took a picture of both images together to have exactly the same conditions and light:-)... My recoloured image is on the left... J'ai pris une photo des 2 ensemble pour avoir exactement les mêmes conditions d'éclairage et pouvoir faire une vraie comparaison... La nouvelle image est à gauche...

Hi all! Just a quickie to let you know I have no phone at the moment and only seem to have internet access for what seems like 30 seconds in a row, then nothing... I can't go blogging or write the emails I want to write, which is REALLY getting on my nerves and upsetting me, and I can't finish my Christmas shopping either LOL! I guess it is due to the bad weather we have had but have no idea when things are going to get better, fingers crossed it is very soon!! Posting while the lights are green on my box...

Make It Colourful #41 DT - Look at that hat...

Hello all! It is Friday - oooh I love Fridays - and we have a new challenge for you at Make It Colourful! This fortnight we would like you to "Colour White", not the scariest challenge we have had:-)! To give you some inspiration, my teamies have made gorgeous examples, which you can see in the gallery HERE! And there is a fantastic prize as always, a $20 gift voucher to Make It Crafty!

Bonjour à toutes! Vendredi... J'adore le vendredi... et nous avons un nouveau challenge Make It Colourful! Cette semaine, le défi est de "colorier en blanc", on a fait bien pire! La DT a créé des exemples superbes, à voir dans la galerie ICI! Et comme toujours, un super prix, un bon d'achat de $20 offert par Make It Crafty!

I have chosen to colour an image I completely fell in love with... Really, it was love at first sight!!! It is called Chantelle at The Races, here is the whole image... L'image que j'ai choisie de colorier est l'histoire d'un coup de foudre... Je l'adore! Elle s'appelle Chantelle at the Races, la voici en entier...

And although I had several ideas for my card, had prepared a few handmade flowers, had a sketch in mind, well I came up with another CAS card...
Et malgré un sketch en tête, des fleurs que j'ai même faites, rien n'y a fait, j'ai finalement opté pour du CAS...

Make It Colour Blending Card

Embellishments: Make It Crafty Chipboard (Swirly Corners and Mix n Match Centres), pearl

I coloured the corners with a C9 Copic, and the little flower with pearl is made up of 2 pieces coming from the Mix n Match Centres chipboard pack that I layered, one coloured with C9, the other with RV04.

As for colouring white, I used C0, 1, 3. The dress is the first thing I coloured on my image, I was afraid it would look too grey... Then I coloured the rest of my image, using some black (with my Cs), thinking that the white could catch some of the black around and the contrast would maybe help "bring out" the white too:-).

J'ai colorié les coins avec mon copic C9, et la petite fleur avec perle est faite en superposant 2 pièces des Mix n Match Centres, l'une coloriée avec mon Copic C9, l'autre avec mon RV04.

Pour colorier balnc, j'ai utilisé mes Copics C0, 1 et 3. La première chose que j'ai coloriée est la robe, j'avais un peu peur d'avoir la main lourde et qu'elle fasse trop grise... Puis j'ai colorié le reste de l'image et utilisé du noir, en pensant que le contraste contribuerait à faire ressortir le blanc:-)!

Hi all! I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend? It is Friday NIGHT, I know, I am here a little bit later than I thought, but here:-)! We have a great new challenge at Make It Colourful, and the theme this fortnight is Lantern/ Candle light! Don't panic, it was a first for me too, well first time really asking myself questions about the light source coming from a lantern! Bonsoir! J'espère que vous passez un bon week-end? On est vendredi SOIR, je sais, je suis là un peu plus tard que prévu (je vous avais bien dit que j'étais très en retard!!!), mais me voilà! Nous avons un nouveau challenge chez Make It Colourful... le thème? A la lumière d'une lanterne, bougie, lampadaire... La lumière doit venir d'une de ces sources! C'est la première fois que je réfléchis à ce genre d'éclairage, et je dois avouer avoir eu quelques suées... Spooky Night Sky...

FOR MY CUPCAKE CARD, SEE MY PREVIOUS POST BELOW:-)

Hello again! 3 posts in 24 hours, very unusual, I know!!! Depending on where you are, I am almost too late to post my card:-)! There was a great special challenge at Make It Colourful for the month of October which was to create a spooky night sky. And I have to say it did take me some time to come up with something... I spent quite a number of hours on a first project, which ended in the bin. After colouring my whole scene, I realised I did not like the way I had put the different elements together to make my scene and my sky, which I tried to do with distress inks (big mistake... I am so bad!) was a real failure!

The inspirational photos, the girls who took part in the challenge and left messages on the message board in the gallery really helped me and with the fantastic tutorial Barbara made about one of her amazing spooky night skies (she did make several, you can see them all in the gallery here), I had no other choice than try again:-)!

I decided to use the following character, Larkspur, which seemed perfect to me for a spooky scene and built my scene around her, adding all the Make It Crafty elements/images I had planned to use.

For the background, I only used parts of images: the moon and bats are a part of the Eerie Scene, the house is a part of the Spooky House which I first rotated (horizontally), then put at a slight angle to make it look a bit more threatening (Barbara's idea in the first place) and placed as if on a hill, the fence is a part of the Spooky Graveyard, and the branches on the side (idea coming from the inspirational photos for the challenge) are an element taken from the Spooky Graveyard too and repeated several times. I filled the empty space on the right by adding a coloured path. I also made the branches longer using my Copic multiliner, because my stamped character was not exactly where I wanted it (I did the usual stamping, masking, then printing my background on top of my stamped image).

For the moon, I used Y28, Y11, Y000, E41 and E50. For the sky and clouds, I followed Barbara's tutorial, I just did not use the Toner Greys (which I don't have... yet:-)), I used C0 to C5 and B91, 93, 95, 97. Greys first, then blues, then little touches of grey in some places.

For my scene, I "mirrored" my MIC image and slightly rotated it to have the angle I wanted. For the colouring, I tried to add texture to different things but I especially tried to focus on the wood of the fence and also on the clothes/hat of the fairy... Let's look at the image only...

Je me suis concentrée sur le bois de la barrière et aussi sur le bonnet de la fée (ça ne se voit pas mais je vais expliquer...)

For the fence, I did not blend my colours too much and gave brushstrokes to render the "veins" of the wood. As for the fairy...

Pour le bois, j'ai donné quelques coups de Copic pour rendre les veines du bois et ne pas avoir une barrière toute lisse. Quant à la fée...

For the trim of the hat and pompoms, I used C0, 1, 3 and made little dots. Now I also tried something invisible on the purple part of the hat:-), but I will explain what I tried to do (and failed to do). The tiny white dots are not due to the paper, but to what I did. I did not want the hat to look completely smooth and I read a fascinating article by Marianne Walker on how to colour a sweater HERE. I put a couple of drops of colourless blender on a felt pad, and very gently (way too gently, because of fear LOL!!!) dabbed on the purple surface. I did the same thing on the woolen heart too.

Pour le bord du bonnet et les pompons, j'ai utilisé mes Copic C0, 1, 3 et fait des petits points. Ensuite j'ai fait quelque chose d'invisible sur le violet du bonnet... Je vous explique ce que j'ai essayé (et raté!). Les minuscules points blancs ne sont pas liés au papier... Je voulais éviter d'avoir une surface lisse et je me suis inspirée d'un super article de Marianne Walker sur la colorisation d'un pull ICI. J'ai mis quelques gouttes de colourless blender sur un petit bout de feutre de mon applicateur alcool et j'ai délicatement (trop délicatement, mais à cause de la peur!!!) tamponné le bonnet. J'ai fait la même chose sur le gros coeur en laine, je voulais voir quelques fibres... Subtil...

No, I am not fed up with my Copics, I will NEVER be, but I have wanted to try pencils for some time, so here is my very first image coloured in pencil. I wanted to watch tutorials before trying, but I just felt the urge to colour and voilà! Two obvious conclusions... 1) I need to practice 2) I need more pencils:-)!!!

Non, je n'abandonne pas mes Copics, ça JAMAIS!, mais cela fait un moment que j'ai envie d'essayer les crayons de couleur, c'est chose faite, voici ma toute première image colorisée ainsi. For my card, I used one of the new Make It Crafty images called Winter Park (slightly modified), combined to a Gorjuss Girl. Here it is...

I stamped my Gorjuss girl, masked my image then printed my MIC background, and then had a lot of fun colouring that scene! I decided it would be daytime and not night despite the lampost and the GG called "The Winter's Night":-)! For the snow I used Copics W0, 1, 3, and BG0000, 000.

J'ai tamponné ma Gorjuss, je l'ai masquée, puis j'ai imprimé mon fond Make It Crafty. J'ai beaucoup aimé colorier cette scène et j'ai décidé, malgré le reverbère et le nom de cette Gorjuss (The winter's NIGHT:-)) de faire une scène de jour. Pour la neige, j'ai utilisé mes Copics W0, 1, 3, BG0000, 000.

Since the idea was to make something small, I thought I would use only part of a rubber stamp, so I chose that one which I just love! And I inked one half of my sentiment at a time to make a corner sentiment:-) And my cards are even more simple than what I usually do (yes, it is possible!!!!)!

Puisqu'il fallait faire qch de petit, j'ai décidé d'utiliser seulement une partie d'un tampon, et pris celui-ci que j'adore! J'ai tamponné chaque moitié de mon sentiment séparément pour faire le coin, et le résultat est tout simple, encore plus que d'habitude si cela est possible!

Make It Colourful #36 DT card and challenges

Hello all! I hope you are well? At last the weekend's here which means a little bit more time to go blogging and I hope to be able to catch up with you all! It is time for a new challenge at Make It Colourful and this week the challenge is "Colouring a White Mist" and is sponsored by Make It Crafty:-)!

Bonjour à toutes! Enfin le weekend, et donc un peu de temps pour souffler et vous rendre visite, et aussi un nouveau challenge chez Make It Colourful! Cette semaine le thème est "Colorier de la Brume/Brouillard blanc", et nous sommes sponsorisés par Make It Crafty:-)!

I think I have made things complicated... I don't know why I had this crazy idea that I was to render mist using my Copics only... which is not the case at all! You can use any sort of white on your projects. Anyway here is my card, with recipe and explanations...

Je me suis beaucoup compliqué la vie... Je ne sais pas pourquoi, je pensais qu'il fallait à tout prix que j'utilise uniquement mes Copics pour rendre le brouillard (un super challenge pour moi!), mais ce n'est pas le cas du tout! Vous pouvez utiliser n'importe quelle sorte de blanc sur vos créations! Vous allez comprendre, voilà ma carte avec recette et explications...

As I was saying, I tried to render fog by using my Copics and I first drew threads of fog with my W0 and W1 to know where they would be exactly. Then I coloured my whole image and I coloured over my fog, using always one or two shades lighter than the one I used in the area touching the fog, so that the fog area would seem white... And when I realized I could use other things, I used Brilliance Moonlight White Ink over my fog areas, and I dabbed some very lightly on my sky too.

J'ai donc voulu rendre l'effet de brume en utilisant mes Copic seulement au départ... J'ai dessiné des zones de brouillard avec mon W0 et W1 pour les délimiter. Puis j'ai colorié l'intégralité de mon image ainsi que le brouillard en utilisant pour ces zones de brouillard un Copic plus clair (d'une teinte ou deux) que celui utilisé dans la zone qui touche le brouillard... Simple... En discutant avec la DT, je me suis alors rendu compte que l'on pouvait utiliser autre chose, j'ai utilisé de l'encre blanche Brilliance (Moonlight White) sur ma brume et j'en ai appliqué un peu sur le ciel aussi.

For the moon, I was inspired by Barbara. I was so impressed by the moon she made using an empty circle, I really wanted to try. I also used an image from Internet.

Pour la lune, l'idée est de Barbara. J'ai été très impressionnée par la lune qu'elle a réussi à créer à partir d'un cercle vide et j'avais vraiment envie d'essayer. Je me suis aussi inspirée d'une image d'internet.

It is now time for a new challenge at Make It Colourful and time for my first DT card, I still can hardly believe I am typing this (Thank you so much again, Zoe:-)! The challenge this week is to colour using Black and Orange - Get Ready For Halloween! When I saw the challenge, I knew which character I wanted to use straightaway and decided I needed a door because I had trick or treating in mind then thought I would only use that part of a house... I also decided I would colour mostly black and white because I love black and white and add a pop of colour. Here is what I did and the recipe...

J'ai tout de suite su quel personnage j'allais utiliser, et j'avais en tête le porte-à-porte d'Halloween, j'ai donc décrété que je l'associerai à une porte... J'ai voulu colorier principalement en noir et blanc juste parce que j'aime beaucoup ça:-), en ajoutant une touche de couleur, le orange donc... Voilà le résultat et les ingrédients...

I don't have many images that have to do with school, so the choice was not too difficult, and I really wanted to play with my new background images... So here is my card...

J'ai peu de tampons en rapport avec l'école, le choix n'a donc pas été très dur, et je voulais vraiment utiliser mes nouvelles images de fond...

Don't look too close, the paper with the text is upside down... I guess that's what happens when you are too tired!!!
