Colouring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush on Canson Montval

I stamped a sentiment from the Butterfly Dreams set and then stamped a butterfly from the set several times. I coloured the background using Zig watercolour pens. On a separate pice of watercolour paper, I stamped the butterfly I wanted to colour, made it blue and cut it out. I adhered it to my card using foam squares.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #30... and Little Blue Riding Hood!

Hello again! I'm back for the new challenge at Paperbabe Stamps where we have a great sketch for you! I flipped Mayleedee Little Red Hood in MS Word, coloured it in Copics and die cut it. I then added a chipboard frame by Make it Crafty (Delicate Love Oval Frame) which I covered in gold paint. I used BoBunny DPs and added a bit of gold paint on the edges too. For a finishing touch, I added a little pearl.

I used a super cute fairy from the Fairy Loved set, stamped her and created a background for her, following directions from Zoe's amazing e-book about Colouring Skies (and you get the hills too ;)!!)  I coloured everything using my Copics and then die cut a circle frame with en MFT die. To finish off, I stamped a Paper Smooches sentiment.

Forget Me Not Wryn

Hello everyone! I'm here today to share a spring card, with lots of flowers - on my image only, I'm still as CAS as ever ;)!

I used the adorable Forget Me Not Wryn by Tiddly Inks. I resized and cropped my digi image in MS Word, printed it and coloured it with my Copics. I then picked a piece of Doodlebug DP to match my Copic colours and cut it with an MFT die from the Stitched Basic Edges set. And I stamped a sentiment by Paperbabe Stamps.

March Release Day and Krafty Hop!

Hello everyone! It's finally here! The release of our March 2016 clear stamp sets at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! We've released ALL seven of the new clear stamp sets that we've been previewing all week and we're celebrating with a krafty HOP!

March Krafty Peeks... Day FIVE plus a challenge!

I stamped my sentiment first, then some butterflies in Versamark and embossed them in white. I then coloured using my Zig wtc pens and added a few white trails.

I stamped my image in Versafine and coloured her in Zig Clean Colour Real Brush. I then added a few details on Polychromos. I finished off with a sentiment from the set stamped in Versamark and embossed in white, then die cut my image withan MFT die.

MiC CAS Challenge and Tutorial

Hello everyone! I'm here to share my inspiration card for our current CAS Masking Challenge at Make it Crafty and a little tutorial on how I combined a digital image and a rubber stamp to create my scene - a digital background with a rubber character :) Here is the scene in question...

The images I used are the Open Window Digital Stamp and Tress Dancing Rubber Stamp by Make it Crafty. When masking, the element you mask is the one placed "in front", so in my scene I masked the window to stamp the character.

Step 1

 

First, I printed the Open Window Digital Stamp on regular printing paper in draft mode (to avoid wasting ink and wasting good paper). Then I stamped Tress Dancing on top of my window without masking the window, to see how I could place the stamp to have only the head showing in the window and in a correct position, one I liked. You sometimes need several attempts, but this step is really necessary. I don't have any "magic tools" to line my stamps precisely, so I simply took a ballpoint pen here and traced around my acrylic block to mark how I had positioned it. These lines will help me as guidelines when stamping my scene for good on my good Copic paper.

Step 2

You need to create your mask now and since the image used is a digi, you need to print the digi on your mask - a Post It Note with a FULL sticky back here (or it may get stuck in the printer if the whole back is not sticky - and you can of course use masking film instead like Eclipse). To do so, I printed my window in the top left hand corner of my Make It Colour Blending Card sheet (the one I will colour my scene on) and took a blank sheet of printing paper that I put on top of my printed sheet to see where I would need to put my Post It so the window would be printed on it. I stuck my Post It on my blank printing paper which I then put in my printer and tada!! You see the result above - the mask is created :)

Step 3

Using a little pair of scissors, I cut the inside of the window - no need to cut all the Post It image, just the part that needs to be empty to show the character I'll stamp next. I then put my yellow mask on the window (printed on my Make it Colour Blending Card) to then get ready to stamp the character.

Step 4

Using the guidelines you created in Step 1 on your draft scene, stamp your character on your mask. Then remove the mask and colour your scene!

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge

Hello everyone! We have a new challenge for you at Paperbabe Stamps today and our theme is MOTHER! As always you can join us with any stamps you like but we would be delighted to see your Paperbabe Stamps in action! And there's a gift voucher for grabs to be spent in the store!

I used Mayleedee Frost Fairy digi, flipped it and cropped it, then printed it so faint that the wings did not show. I coloured Mayleedee in Copics and added a little heart from the Doll Face Mini Stamp Set. For the background, I stamped the smallest dot strip from the Pop Dots Stamp Set multiple times then added the You Quote "You Are Loved" sentiment.
