Hi everyone! If you're looking for my candy, please click HERE!
Today I'm sharing a tutorial I made for my Make It Monday post at CC Designs, a tutorial on how I colour grass with Copics. The stamps I am using are CC Designs Summer Swing Birgitta and Summer Swing
and the Copics used for the grass are G99, YG03, 17 and 67. You don't
have to use exactly the same greens as me, you just need 3 or 4 greens
that you like and that work well together.
*************************************
STEP 1
I always start by colouring at least all the parts the blades of grass will touch since the blades will be on top of them, so I always colour the sky and here the tree trunk and Birgitta's legs (and while I was at it, I decided to colour her completely :)!)

STEP 2
With the chisel end of your marker, going from left to right or right to left, lay colour on the grass area with your lightest colour - YG03 here. You can do that quite quickly, the marker strokes will be covered later.

STEP 3
Take your darkest colour - G99 here - and create blades of grass starting at the base of the blade and going upwards. You need to do a flicking motion from the bottom to the top and with a light touch. See how my blades are larger at the base. I have also added some G99 to the area that will be darker, under Birgitta and at the bottom of the trunk.

STEP 4
Now create blades of grass with your YG67 doing the same movement as in Step 3 and filling some of the spaces.

STEP 5
Use your YG17 marker and do as in step 4, filling the spaces between the blades you have already drawn and covering some.

STEP 6
Now use your lightest colour YG03 to cover the empty spaces, still doing a flicking motion.
