Paperbabe Stamps Release!

Hello everyone! We have a new release at Paperbabe Stamps which will be available on Saturday June 2nd, and let me tell you, it's simply A.MA.ZING!!! I have been in love with Kim's Mixed Media Templates and MDF Substrates for a long time, but these new MDF just took my breath away!!! I am in LOVE!!! Today we are introducing the Rose Edge MDF Layered Frame, and you can see all the details of this set in photos HERE, on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog, with also detailed pictures of Kim's gorgeous project! Here is my project - which I have loved doing so much, I'm going to make another one :)

I started by creating my Queen of Hearts using my Queen of Hearts MM Templates, and my Female Face Stamp Set (Mini) and Mini Ears stamp set (Mini). The details of her face were stamped using Versafine Onyx Black for the eyelashes, Smoked Gray for the rest. I coloured the black background in Acrylin Ink and coloured my Queen in Acrylic Paint. I then added shading to the face with my Polychromos and Pastel Pencils and added a few details in gel pen.

I then painted the flourish in gold acrylic paint, the roses in Copics and Polychromos, the leaves and hearts in Pentel Hybrid and Sakura gel pens.

I then stuck the flourish on my lady, and the roses on the flourish - easy :)!!

SCACD This & That Rubber Stamp Blog Hop!!!

Hello everyone! Welcome to another fun showcase of newly released rubber stamps and yes, a few new digis from SCACD! You should have come from the talented Alaine's blog and if you get lost during the Hop, you can always find your way at the store blog HERE!

SCACD is releasing 9 rubber stamps which are collectively called the "This and That Collection". They each can be purchased now HERE. They were inspired by things going on in Susana's life as well as imagery she loves. SCACD Artist Carmen Medlin and Susana collaborated on the images and Carmen did an amazing job bringing these to life!!! We are featuring 4 Zen Beauties as well as 5 eclectic fun stamps today. On a happy note, if you buy the complete set of 4 Zen Beauties at one time, you will get an accompanying accessory maple seed stamp as a bonus stamp.

I have kept it very simple and decided to do a one layer card to really have the focus on Serenity and nothing else to distract the attention. I coloured her in Polychromos and used Pastel Pencils for the background.

Pastel Colours at Tiddly Inks

Well, when I read the challenge, I immediately thought of Pastel Pencils and decided to challenge myself a bit and make a 100% Pastel card without touching my Polychromos - just pastel pencils. Here is what I have done...

Quand j'ai vu le thème du challenge, j'ai tout de suite pensé à mes pastels et décidé de faire une carte 100% Pastel, sans utiliser d'autres crayons... Voilà le résultat...

Make It Colourful Challenge and MiC FB Challenge Reminders

I am back for the mid-way reminder of our Make It Colourful May challenge, the Easy challenge is to "Use different skin colours" and the Hard challenge is to "Alter an image through colouring only" (no altering of the lines!)... a bit scary but the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself;) You can enter one or both challenges with the same project if you like too and the prizes are 2 $15 Gift Vouchers to Make It Crafty!

Vous pouvez participer avec votre projet (même seulement une image, sans faire de carte) à un ou les deux challenges en même temps! I tried to alter an image for our Make It Colourful challenge and I did struggle a little... but it was fun! Here is the original image I used, named Mariah:

Colouring: Polychromos and Pitt Pastel Pencils on Daler Rowney

I printed Mariah in "no line" and in pencil, I changed her eyes a little, added eyelashes, gave her a necklace and of course changed her hair style! I coloured her using my Polychromos and used pastel pencils for the background.

J'ai imprimé Mariah en no line (en éclaircissant le tracé) et, au crayon, j'ai un peu modifié ses yeux, ajouté de long cils, un collier et surtout évidemment, une nouvelle coiffure! Je l'ai coloriée avec mes Polychromos et le fond est colorié au crayons pastel.

Quixotic Paperie DT

Hello everyone! After a "roller coaster" of a week, I'm sharing my Quixotic Paperie card featuring some flowers and a very cute but big Anya, an Anya I particularly love and would like to dedicate to Elaine who will know why :) 

This cutie is Anya Blooms by The Greeting Farm and for a little change, I decided to colour her using pastel pencils. For the little corners, I used my Greeting Farm Tulip Border die. It is one I love because the tulip border includes a very cute heart border and I have cut 4 little hearts from it to be used as corners.

Tag Challenge at Tiddly Inks!

Hello everyone! Tuesday means it is the start of a new challege at Tiddly Inks, and it is a great one - "TAGS"! I decided to have a play with pastel pencils and Polychromos to colour a kraft tag, which, of course, I have left completely CAS ;)...

Is Christmas over yet?

I thought I would try something new... pastel pencils:) I have had a little tin for quite some time and did not really dare try, I thought now was the perfect time (you know, you're late, and you just have to experiment and try something which is going to make you even later...). Here is the result of this first attempt... 

J'avais envie d'essayer quelque chose de nouveau... les pastels! J'ai une petite boîte de crayons que je n'avais jamais osé utiliser, je me suis dit que le moment était bien choisi (vous voyez, vous êtes en retard, alors vous vous mettez à essayer des choses, juste pour être un peu plus en retard...). Bref, voici le résultat de cette première tentative...
