Birdie Love Copic Scene

Hello everyone! I'm back to share a Copic scene featuring some adorable birds I made for Copic Marker Europe. For this scene I used elements from the MFT Tweet Friends set, and a heart branch by Penny Black from the All you need is Love set. I stamped my characters in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped the branch in Memento Toffee Crunch to have a brown branch and to be able to go over the hearts in Copics.

As always, I started with the background. I coloured the sky in B00, 02 and created a grass hill using G28, YG01, 03, 17, 67. For the sky, I tried to have a few marks in the sky to suggest very light clouds, instead of making a completely blended uniform colour for a change. 

I then added a bit of interest to my background, creating bushes on the right with my BG72, 75, 78, G21, YG 01, 03 and suggesting more nature in the far background, using light colours - G20, 21.

Next I coloured my characters - B93, 95, 97, 99 for the blue of the male bird, BV00, 02, 04 for a more girly colour for the female bird. I added shadows on the white of their fur in W0, 1, 3 and coloured their beaks in Y35, 38. The mushroom was done in C5, R35, 37, 39, E41, 42, 43.

I then coloured my heart branch, only going over the hearts in R35, 37. I added grass blades in W7, G29.

And then, all the little details: pink and white dots in Posca pen to suggest flowers, a few hearts in R37 falling from the branch, shadows under my characters in YG67, flying birds in the distance with a grey Copic multiliner.

Penny Black Copic Scene

Hello everyone! I think by now you all know my love for scenes and also for Halloween, so I have decided to make a Halloween scene for my Copic Marker Europe post! For my scene, I used different Penny Black Stamps - they have super cute animals and great scenic stamps.

The little hedgehog with his balloon is from the Bewitched set. I did some fussy cutting and then coloured them in Copics. The pumpkin was done in Y17, YR04 and YR18. For the hedgehog, I used E50, 51, 53, RV02 for the "skin", C1, 3, 5 for the fur and V01, 06, 09, C5, 7, 9 for the hat. 

I also used a Penny Black die cut to create some grass. I cut my piece first, then coloured it using BG72, 75, 78, YG01, 03, 06, 09 and T7.

For the background, I used a rectangular piece of paper that I coloured using Distress Inks and a blending tool, then I stamped a Penny Black background in black ink.

Note: I used Distress Inks, but airbrushing that background would have been a great solution and a quick efficient way to do it too!

I decided to add some foliage at the bottom of my grass piece then mounted everything on a blank card base. And voilà:

Christmas Hugs

Hello everyone! I'm back to share the card I did for Copic Marker Europe :) This time, I used a sweet couple of hedgehogs from the Penny Black Christmas Hugs stamp set.

I die cut my image with an MFT oval die and started colouring the background.  Oh and why should the sky always be blue ;)? I decided to go purple-pink for a change and used BV000 and V01 for a pastel sky.

I then decided to fill the background a little, so I added trees in the same shade as the purple of my sky just a bit darker, with BV00. 

Next I coloured the skin (E000, 0000) and clothes of my hedgehogs. I used V09, 15, 17 for the dark purple, and V01, 04, 06 for the light purple. The red colour of the boots and scarf was done using R35, 37, 39 and C5 for more depth. The gloves are R22, 24, 27. 

I coloured the hedgehogs' backs in W3, 5, 7. I then continued with the white fur using C0, 1, 3 and I added some shadows - as you can see below the scarves for example.

Lastly, I grounded my critters using C1, 3 and the pink from my sky V01.

Purple: V09, 15, 17

Light purple: V01, 04, 06

I wanted to frame my image so I painted a Make it Crafty Scribble Snowflake Oval Frame chipboard with a white Molotow pen.

I am really into chipboard so I chose a chipboard sentiment - Make it Crafty Hugs Chipboard Word. The bottom layer is coloured in white paint again to match the frame, and the red word is Copics. I love that I can use my markers not just on paper only - and here I wanted to achieve a blended look on my chipboard word so I used R35, 37, 39. I then put Star Dust Stickles on my sentiment.

And here is the finished card! I mounted my frame on Doodlebug DPs and added gold to my frame with acrylic paint, 3 little stars (Mini Stars Chipboard Tinklings) and a heart from a MiC Mini Hearts Chipboard Tinklings set - coloured in Copics and covered in stickles.

GDT Penny Black and More Challenge

Hello everyone! Last month I was very happy to be invited to join The Penny Black and More Challenge as Guest Designer for the month of October :) It's such an honour to join them for this challenge, thank you so much to Brenda and the awesome DT girls for having me!

The challenge this month is an autumnal photo inspiration:

I created a scene as I love doing with my stamps and used the colours from the photo and kept leaves on my make, but added  a little personal twist of love to my card:

Colouring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush, Polychromos, Posca on Canson Montval

I stamped the main image called Muse and created a background for her using my Zig wtc markers and water. I coloured my Muse in Zigs too, then added Polychromos to add details. I then stamped the flowers at the bottom (from the Sprigs set) and the heart leaves at the top (from the All You Need set) and added colour with my Poscas. On the dress, I stamped 3 little hearts (from the Tweeting Love set) with my love theme in mind, and the sentiment from the All You Need set.

Penny Black Halloween Scene

Hello everyone! I'm back to share a Copic scene I made for Copic Marker Europe, a Halloween one this time using Penny Black stamps!

I stamped my Penny Black Dark House and die cut it with an MFT die. I created a background behind the house (moon, trees and hills) and coloured everything in Copics. On another piece of paper, I stamped the little hedgehog from the Bewitched stamp set, coloured him and then did some fussy cutting. I put him on foam pads and added a little black stitching thread behind the balloon -though you cannot really see it on the photo.

Season's Greetings for Copic Europe

Hello everyone! I'm back to share a Christmas card I made for Copic Marker Europe - now is really the time to make winter cards says the panicked girl;)!!!

I have used one of my not so recent Penny Black stamps called Snowy and Hedgy. I stamped it on Make It Colour Blending Card and masked my image, added a couple masks to create the hills and airbrushed the background. I then coloured my scene and thought I would add a frame inspired by a number of cards I have seen recently. I cut a rectangle with a die, stamped a sentiment from the CC Designs Christmas Sentiments II set on it and put it on foam squares.
