Ooooooh... I love Halloween!!!

Hello everyone! Here we are, for the second day of the August Previews at All That Scraps and ooooh, today it is all about Halloween!!! I'm so excited, I love Halloween, just for the cards we can make!

Bonjour à tous! 2e jour de présentation des nouveautés chez All That Scraps, ooooh, aujourd'hui c'est Halloween! J'adore Halloween, rien que pour les cartes qu'on peut faire:-)! 

I have used the adorable Punkin Beatrice and had her sitting in the middle of pumpkins I made with the new Pumpkins Die on white cardstock and coloured with Copics. I used my CC Cutter Fence Border Die, decorated my fence with some Washi tape, added part of a sentiment to be found in the new Halloween Sentiments set, and bats made with the new Bats Die!

Cette petite est Punkin Beatrice, assise au milieu de citrouilles coloriées avec mes Copic et faites avec ma découpe Pumpkins Die. Barrière faite avec la découpe Fence Border Die et décorée avec du tissu adhésif, un sentiment qui vient du nouveau set Halloween Sentiments et des chauve-souris faites avec la découpe Bats!

August Release previews at All That Scraps

The pencil is from the School Logos set and is big enough to have ONE character sitting on it. I wanted to have 2 characters so I cheated and stamped it 3 times to make a big one:-)

Le crayon vient du set School Logos et est assez grand pour asseoir UN personnage dessus. Je voulais avoir 2 personnages, j'ai donc utilisé le crayon 3 fois pour en créer un grand:-)

New challenge at Cupcake, new exciting challenge blog and a card...

Hello all! Thank you for all the lovely comments you have left me about my Tilda, I am really touched, more than I can say, especially since I am probably one of the "most behind" girl in blogland:-)! Let me tell you about the new challenge at Cupcake, for which I don't have a card unfortunately, but which my teamies have rocked! Our Faye has chosen the theme "The Great Outdoors", boys on bikes, girls on swings, so things you do outdoors. Tilda's Town #11, back to pencils for me:-)

Making cards "the wrong way"...

 Hello everyone! Today for my Make It Crafty inspiration post I would like to share a few tips about what to do once you have started making a card "the wrong way", that is colouring your image first without thinking about all the rest... I went on holiday and took my Copics and a few images to colour (I couldn't help it:-)!), I listened to my heart, coloured and coloured... Here is one of the images I coloured:

Bonjour à toutes! Tu as vu, Isabelle, je fais un effort, je mets le français LOL! Aujourd'hui, je vous montre juste comment faire une carte à l'envers:-), que faire si vous avez commencé par la fin comme il m'arrive souvent de le faire, c'est à dire vous coloriez votre image sans avoir réfléchi à tout le reste de la carte... Je suis partie en vacances en emmenant juste quelques images à colorier et mes Copic, je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher:-)... Voici une des images que j'ai coloriée:

For this scene, I used the new Make It Crafty Girls Flying Kite digi stamp, merged with the Crooked Picket Fence and Cobblestone Path, coloured with Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card. I loved colouring my scene, you know, for the sake of colouring, but then, on my return... No matching things, no DPs to be found... So here is the list of what I used and always have in my stash ready to be used and to save myself:-): 

1. White basic bristol card 

2. Chipboard 

3. White embellishments (ribbon here) 

4. In this case, embossing folder and Scoring board for the "DP"

Pour cette scène, j'ai utilisé la nouvelle image Make It Crafty de ces fillettes, Girls Flying Kite, la barrière Crooked Picket Fence et le chemin Cobblestone Path, le tout colorié aux Copic sur papier Make It Colour. J'ai adoré la colorier, mais ensuite, à mon retour... Pas de papiers ou éléments assortis qui pouvaient me convenir... Voici donc la liste de ce que j'ai utilisé et que j'ai toujours sous la main pour me sauver:-):
1. Du bristol basique
2. Des chipboards
3. Des embellissements en blanc (ici du ruban)
4. Pour cette carte, de quoi embosser et ma Scor Pal pour faire le papier de fond

A/ Matting
Whenever I can't find the coloured cardstock I need, I cut a piece of basic bristol card to the size I want and colour the edges with one or two of the colours I have used in my image (R37 here and YR23). No need to colour the whole cardstock, only make a frame like this:  

Si je n'ai pas la bonne couleur de papier pour "encadrer" mon image, je coupe un bout de bristol à la taille souhaitée et colorie le tour uniquement au marqueur avec une ou des couleurs utilisées dans l'image (ici R37 et YR 23):

B/ DPs
For DPs, I sometimes use plain coloured cardstock or dotted papers (which I have in lots of different colours) or I make my own. Here I have chosen to emboss two pieces of white cardstock with my CB Swiss Dots embossing folder and scored a few lines on another piece to cover the junction of the two pieces.

J'aime bien utiliser des papiers unis ou des papiers à pois (que j'ai dans beaucoup de couleurs) ou alors je fais un papier de fond. Ici, 2 morceaux de bristol embossés (avec des pois!) et un bout de papier avec quelques stries pour couvrir la jonction des deux papiers embossés.

C/ Embellishments
I never use lots of embellishments on my cards but I love adding chipboard and love the fact that they can be coloured to match my cards. Here I have used Ornate Corners Chipboard coloured with Copic YR23, Mix n Match Centres (YR23 and R37) on my ribbon and a Mini Dragonfly (B000, B34, YG03 plus Stickles). And using the chisel end of my R37 marker, I turned my white ribbon into a red one. Here is my finished card and Copic recipe for the image:

Je n'utilise pas beaucoup d'embellissements mais j'adore mes chipboards et le fait de pouvoir les assortir aux cartes. Ici, j'ai utilisé des coins Ornate Corners Chipboard coloriés au Copic YR23, des motifs Mix n Match Centres (YR23 et R37) sur mon ruban et une libellule Mini Dragonfly (B000, 34, YG03 et des paillettes). Avec la pointe biseautée de mon feutre, j'ai transformé mon ruban blanc en ruban rouge. Voici la carte...

Kite/Cerf-volant: R32, 35, 37, 39, 59, Y15, 19 

Sky and clouds/Ciel et nuages: BG0000, 000, C0, 1, 3, Blender 

Grass/Herbe: YG13, 17, 67, 97 

Daffodils/Jonquilles: Y11, 15, 19 

Fence/Barrière: E40, 41, 43, 44, 47 

Path/Chemin: E21, 23, 25, 27

July Release Review at All That Scraps

Hello everyone! I am baaaaack:-)! Back from my holidays and I want to thank you all for all your lovely comments and welcome all my new followers too! I have a lot to catch up with and a lot of emails to read (I found almost 500...), I will do my best to get back to you very soon! Simply Anastasia for Make It Crafty

Hello all! Today I would like to share a simple card using one of the 5 gorgeous portraits available from Make It Crafty, perfect to experiment and practise colouring! I had already coloured Ashlyn with Copics (here), and I thought I would challenge myself to see if I could do something nice with pencils, using Anastasia this time. I decided to make a very simple card -for a special friend of mine- to have the focus on the image, hoping it would "speak for itself".

A Summery Card - Copic Marker Europe

Hello all! Hoping Mr Blogger is nice, I am showing you a summery card I made for Copic Marker Europe! School being over, it is time to relax and enjoy the summer holidays... exactly what I am doing now... and it is time to colour:-)! Here is my card...

The image I used is called Blossom Berry Sitting Pretty by Elisabeth Bell at Whimsy Stamps, the Have a Sunny Day sentiment is by Magnolia and the button was made with the two Buttons Die by CC Designs. And of course my image was stamped on Make It Colour Blending Card and coloured with my Copics! Close up on the image and recipe:

Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge #5

I used my Polychromos to colour my chipboard corners. As for my image, I coloured in "strokes" around Ardella on purpose, but I 'm not sure I like it in the end... Here is a close up anyway...
