Paperbabe Stamps April Release - Day 1

Hello everyone! Today is the first day of previews at Paperbabe Stamps, the DT are introducing new templates and stamps for April! And this new release is devoted to men this time! Kim has designed a versatile male face stamp set with layered eyes, separate lashes, ears, eyebrows, nose, and even stubble stamp - so everything to create the face you would like to see!
And of course, there are male templates too with three different hairstyles!
Today's stamp set and templates are Standard Size - here is what I have created, about 9x12" piece:)

Stamps: Paperbabe Stamps Male Face Standard Stamp Set
Template: Paperbabe Stamps Male Face Template (Side Swept Bangs)
Colouring: Acrylic Paint, Markers and Ink mostly (plus a bit of Polychromos, Posca and Neocolor II) on Canson Fontenay CP

I challenged myself to use only (mostly) acrylics this time - scary for me especially when working big! I traced around my hair template, then aroud the face and neck templates in pencil. I coloured the skin tones in acrylic paint, then stamped the face details. I coloured them and shaded in Polychromos. I then did most of the background and went back to finish my man. The hair was done using mostly acrylic markers and the shirt is acrylic paint with Posca.

To see amazing inspiration, please visit my teamies on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog HERE! I'll see you tomorrow for another make, a bit smaller this time! Thank you very much for your visit, have a great day! Hugs,
Delphine xx

Paperbabe Stamps New Release Day 2

Hello everyone! Today is Day 2 of our new release at Paperbabe Stamps and today it is all about Quotes :) Kim is releasing gorgeous art quotes in red rubber in different beautiful fonts :) They are perfect for cards, by themselves or with a character, on art journal pages or in mixed media pieces - lots of possibilities!!! I really enjoyed creating this card and just had to use this quote about art...

Stamps: Paperbabe Stamps Art quote
Colouring: Neocolor II, Distress Paints, ink pads
Other: Kesi 'Art splatter stencil

I did the coloured background first using mostly Neocolor IIs. Then, to create the heart form, I cut a heart in a piece of acetate and then used the negative form as a mask for my background. I used a splatter stencil to create splatters with inks inside my heart.

Challenge I am entering:
Take It Make It - Anything goes (#2)

Thank you very much for your visit, have a lovely day! Hugs,

Paperbabe Stamps Class with Kim :) Dream Come True!!

Hello everyone! As some of you are aware, I travelled to England last weekend to attend the awesome Kim's (Paperbabe Stamps) Mixed Media class!! It was a dream for me to go there and I had the best time ever!! I am still on cloud 9 thinking of the time I had! I met lovely, lovely ladies (hey there ;)!!!) and Kim is the sweetest, best teacher you can find!

The aim of the class was to make a gorgeous portrait and to do so, we used Paperbabe Stamps Templates and Stamps and different media.

Here is my little BIG workspace with all the best stuff to create with :)

I took a picture of my work in progress - sorry, my phone does not take the best pictures!!

And just for the record for myself, a picture of my delicious English lunch hehe;)

After lunch, we continued working on our portraits and you can see below what we did (sorry for the bad pic!)!

I had not completely finished when we took the photo (I may be a little bit slow... and I always have to come back and add details!!), so worked on my piece afterwards, added more colours to the face, highlights and blush, painted the edges of the block and here it is all finished, on my French desk :)...

I have to say that I am very excited and happy with what I managed to do all thanks to Kim!!!

Paperbabe Stamps Products used to create my portrait:

Challenges I am entering:
Take It Make It Challenge - Take A Stamp Anything Goes (please feel free to delete my entry if class make cannot be entered, all the merit going to Kim!!)

I still can't believe how lucky I have been to be there and how much I have learnt in one day! And I can't wait to do more!!!
Huge thanks to Kim for everything and all the wonderful memories!! Hugs,
Delphine xx

I coloured everything in Neocolor II, then went back on the face in Polychromos and added acrylic Paint to my pink background.

Paperbabe Stamps New Release Day 2

Hello everyone - again ;)! I'm back to share my DT make for Paperbabe Stamps with the new release that will be available in the shop tomorrow. We are previewing another awesome stamp set today which is presented on the BLOG HERE, the Profile Face which comes with all the stamps you need to make a profile face and which I'm in love with too!!! AND to help us with the rest of your image, there are fantastic templates being released too - and again I'm in love! You can use your stamps and templates for "regular" sized cards with your favourite medium, or you can use them to make bigger pieces... as I did today, for the first time and I have to say I am pretty excited about it :)

Colouring: Neocolor II and Polychromos on Canson Fontenay CP
Other: Paperbabe Stamps Head & Torso Template and Wavy Hair Template

I used the Head & Torso template to trace the head, then put the outline of the face, the eye and the lip on the template to align the stamps as I wanted, grabbed them with an acrylic bloc then stamped in a light blue ink (Adirondack cloudy blue, that's all I had). I then took the Wavy Hair template and drew around it in pencil to have the general shape of the hair, then did the same to add the neck and torso.
I coloured everything in Neocolor II, then did the hair in Polychromos, then decided to go back on the skin in pencil too. And voilà ;)

The whole piece was done on a 24x32 watercolour sheet - a scary size for me, but I'm really happy I tried! I really hope you'll give a go at these face stamps and templates, they are going to change your life ;)!!!

Don't forget to stop by the Paperbabe Stamps blog to see gorgeous inspiration and more of what you can do with your stamps and templates!
Thank you very much for your visit, have a lovely day! Hug,

Paperbabe Stamps New Release - Day 1

Hello everyone! Today is the first preview day of Paperbabe Stamps new release, and let me tell you, it's a fantastic one!!! Kim shared sneaked peeks of everything that is coming here, and today we are showing you the Mini Doll Face stamp set which contains all the little stamps you need to make a face - and there are templates too that you can use to draw the shape of the head, shoulders and hair too and which are just brilliant! The perfect addition to your collection to have fun creating faces! I am totally in LOVE!!! Here is what I did  for today:

Colouring: Neocolor II, acrylic paint and markers on Canson Montval
Other: Stencil

To do my face, I selected the stamps I wanted to use from the Mini Doll Face set - because the set includes a lot of different possibilities - and placed them on the face template to position them, then grabbed them with an acrylic block. On my watercolour paper, I traced the outline of the face in pencil, then stamped my face. I painted the hair without a template, but there is also one if you prefer to use a template. I really wanted to try my face in a mixed media style although I have never coloured a face that way, but I had so much fun doing it! I used Neocolor II and a bit of acrylic paint. For the hair, I used acrylic markers and the background is Neocolor II. At last, I added the text which is the Paperbabe Stamps A Lot Like Christmas  text in white ink and added details with a stencil, and voilà!

Challenges I am entering:
Take It Make It - Colour (#3)

Don't forget to stop by the Paperbabe Stamps blog to discover all the possibilities behind these stamps and templates! Thank you very much for your visit, see you tomorrow! Hugs,

Make It Crafty Scene in no line and pencils...

Hello everyone! Not long ago, on Facebook, a challenge was set by Melanie to colour a Make It Crafty scene in Zoe's no line technique. I have already done a few images using the no line technique, not many and no scenes, and I thought I would push the already difficult challenge a little further and do it in pencils. GREAT FUN!!! I took my image and my pencils with me on holiday - and well... here is the result!

The two images combined for the scene are the beautiful Pipi Faye and the Whimsical Flowers background. I started by colouring the background using Aquatones and Neocolor IIs with water and then coloured the characters, flowers and details with my Polychromos. I added two Make It Crafty Corners and that was it!

Images:  Make It Crafty Pipi Faye, Make It Crafty Whimsical Flowers digi
Colouring: Aquatone, Neocolor II, Polychromos on Langton

I will keep practising and hope to do more no line very soon, it is really a fun technique! Have you tried it ;)?

Tiddly Inks DT Call:)

Hello everyone! As you probably know by now, Tiddly Inks is having a DT call, so if you like Christy Croll's images, now is the time:)! I saw the both exciting and scary DT call just before leaving on holiday and I have had it on my mind since then... I love colouring Tiddly Inks images so much, I thought I would forget about the fear and keep only the exciting part in mind and apply.

I could not really decide on ONE favourite character - I love the Wryn range and I also love the  Victorian/ Steampunk images that were part of a joint release with Make It Crafty two years ago. So I made 2 cards. Here is my first project...

Images and stamps: Tiddly Inks Owlette (and her tree) (digis), Tiddly Inks Grow Old Friends (clear stamp set)
Colouring: Aquatone, Neocolor II, Acrylic Paint and Copics on Canson Montval
Other: Pearls

I used the digis to make my scene, creating a background with the tree in different sizes, then I printed my scene and added the sentiment from my stamp set. The background was first watercoloured using Aquatone and Neocolor IIs, then I added acrylic paint to the leaves, and I coloured Owlette in Copics.

Now to Wryn :)...

Passons à Wryn, cette fois-ci :)...

Images and stamps: Tiddly Inks Winter Wryn, Make It Crafty Christmas Town, Personal Impressions sentiment
Colouring: Tombows and Copics on Canson Montval
Other: Stardust Stickles

I coloured my background with Tombows (only used a little bit of acrylic paint for the snowflakes) and Winter Wryn is coloured with Copics and mounted onto foam squares - simple.

I'll keep my fingers crossed, but whatever happens, I have really enjoyed creating these projects and will be creating more! Thank you very much for your visit!

No DPs - such a joy ;)

Hello everyone! It's Friday which marks the start of a new challenge at A Creative Romance, and it is one I like very much and that is meant for me lol - No DPs! There is a fantastic prize to win, a selection of rubber stamps from Little Darlings!

My card is also a bit special, it is my take on a challenge for fun that took place in the Little Miss Muffet group on Facebook which was to colour a Little Miss Muffet cutie in pencil - here is mine!

Stamps: Little Miss Muffet Jr Hatter Lilith, Make It Crafty Whimsy Toadstools, CC Designs Birdie Day (sentiment)
Colouring: Aquatone, Neocolor II, Polychromos on Langton
Other: heart button

Isn't Jr Hatter Lilith super cute? I just love her! I merged her with the Make It Crafty Whimsy Toadstools background in Microsoft Word, and I coloured the background with Aquatones and Neocolor IIs (and water). For all the details and for Lilith, I used my Polychromos.

Challenges I am entering:
The Paper Shelter - Clean And Simple

We hope you will play with us at A Creative Romance and if "No DPs" scares you, take a look at my teamies' gorgeous inspiration - they rock!!  Thank you very much for your visit, have a lovely day!

CANDY time and MIC inspiration!

Hello everyone! I'm not really here (holiday time!) but sharing a very summery card today (and MORE if you make it to the end of the post;)... Here is a card featuring my all time favourite background (again!) and a beautiful girl:)...

Hula prof copyr

I stamped Hula Girl then masked her to add my background - The Beach. I coloured the background using Aquatone and Neocolor II "pencils" with water, then I coloured Hula Girl with Polychromos only. The sentiment I added is by CC Designs from the Summer Sentiments set.
