Art Journal Page for Tiddly Inks Challenge

Bonjour à tous! Nouveau challenge chez Tiddly Inks and le thème est SOUS/DANS LA MER! 

Hello everyone! I'm back with our new challenge at Tiddly Inks and this time it's UNDER THE SEA! You can see lots of inspiration on our challenge blog HERE :)

J'ai décidé de créer une page sur le thème marin - avec des sirènes - dans mon journal, ça faisait longtemps - et ça fait beaucoup de bien!! J'ai utilisé des tampons du set Mini Mermaid Fun, disponibles aussi en digis sous les noms Amy and Her Mini Mermaid Friends et Octopi My Heart :)

I decided to create an art journal page, it has been a long time and it felt soooo good to dive into my journal! I used stamps from the Mini Mermaid Fun stamp set, also available as digis in Amy and Her Mini Mermaid Friends and Octopi My Heart :)

Colouring: Copics on Make it Colour Blending Card and acrylic paint, gel pen on Moleskine journal

J'ai créé le fond avec de l'acrylique principalement - Fresco et Distress Paint - et fait le sable avec du papier imprimé collé et recouvert d'acrylique aussi. J'ai ajouté un rocher au marqueur acrylique et des algues au stylo gel Pentel. J'ai tamponné, découpé et colorié tous mes personnages au Copic avec quelques touches de crayon Polychromos et je les ai ajoutés à ma scène. 

I created the background in acrylics mostly - Fresco Paint and Distress Paint - and I used DPs for the sand which I covered in acrylics too. I added a rock using acrylic markers and weeds using Pentel gel pens. I stamped, fussy cut and coloured all my elements in Copics with a few touches of Polychromos and I added them to my scene.

Hello everyone! Today is the start of a new challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and our challenge this week is "USE A NUMBER"!

Here is my make for today, featuring Hip Hippo-Ray!

Inks: Kraftin' Kimmie Wicked Black Hybrid Ink
Colouring: Copics and Polychromos on Make it Colour Blending Card
Other: Gel pen

I used a character and a balloon from the Hip Hippo-Ray set and coloured everything in Copics. I then added Polychromo touches here and there to add even more contrast. I drew a banner and wrote a sentiment inside then did some fussy cutting and put it on foam squares.

J'ai utilisé un personnage et un ballon du set Hip Hippo-Ray. J'ai tout colorié au Copic. J'ai ajouté quelques touches de Polychromos pour davantage de contraste encore. J'ai dessiné une bannière et écrit un sentiment, puis je l'ai découpée et je l'ai ajoutée sur mousse 3D.

Kraftin' Kimmie Skrappy Challenge

Hello everyone! We have a new Krafty Skrappy Challenge for you at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, this challenge is for ANYthing but a Kard! We challenge you to make ANYTHING BUT A CARD! So you can create anything you want as long as it's not a card! So that means bookmarks, gifts, scrapbook pages, journal art, planner pages, tags boxes... pretty much anything that includes a krafty stamp! You have all month long to play, until Monday March 25th at midnight EST and you can enter as many times as you like! Just make sure to use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and make sure it's a new creation!
As soon as we have at least five entries, we'll be giving away a PRIZE! One lucky krafter will win a $20 Gift Voucher to the krafty store!

I've decided to make a little painting using the adorable Cuddles the Puppy set. I used an MDF Paperbabe Stamps substrate for the base :)

Colouring: Acrylic markers, Acrylic Paint, Posca Pens, Polychromos

I stamped my character in Wicked Black Hybrid Ink directly on the MDF oval shape. I painted everything using acrylic markers and paint then added littles details such as the leaves, blades of grass, flowers in paint and Posca pens. I also added some shading in Polychromos.
I then painted the flourished frame in acrylics and added dots in Poscas, then used glue to put my 2 MDFs together.

Paperbabe Stamps Release!

Hello everyone! We have a new release at Paperbabe Stamps which will be available on Saturday June 2nd, and let me tell you, it's simply A.MA.ZING!!! I have been in love with Kim's Mixed Media Templates and MDF Substrates for a long time, but these new MDF just took my breath away!!! I am in LOVE!!! Today we are introducing the Rose Edge MDF Layered Frame, and you can see all the details of this set in photos HERE, on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog, with also detailed pictures of Kim's gorgeous project! Here is my project - which I have loved doing so much, I'm going to make another one :)

I started by creating my Queen of Hearts using my Queen of Hearts MM Templates, and my Female Face Stamp Set (Mini) and Mini Ears stamp set (Mini). The details of her face were stamped using Versafine Onyx Black for the eyelashes, Smoked Gray for the rest. I coloured the black background in Acrylin Ink and coloured my Queen in Acrylic Paint. I then added shading to the face with my Polychromos and Pastel Pencils and added a few details in gel pen.

I then painted the flourish in gold acrylic paint, the roses in Copics and Polychromos, the leaves and hearts in Pentel Hybrid and Sakura gel pens.

I then stuck the flourish on my lady, and the roses on the flourish - easy :)!!

Music in Copics and more

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here today to share a Copic make. I thought I would make a CAS card coloured in Copics and show how to enhance your Copic colouring by adding details to it using other media. 

The image I'm using is called Grooving Jasmine by Make it Crafty.

I first cropped my image in MS Word and instead of using my regular Copic paper, printed it on Canson Montval to be able to watercolour too and use other media. Please note, the watercolour paper will not react the same way Copic paper does, the ink may bleed more, the blending be less efficient, the colours may be darker too - it will all depend on the watercolour paper you choose to use. 

I coloured Grooving Jasmine completely, using the following Copics:

Skin: E000, 00, 11, 13, RV02

Hair: 100, BV04, C7, 9

Purple: V09, 15, 17

Pink: RV02, 04, T3

Blue: B95, 97, 99

Gold: Y11, 26

I then thought I would make a simple watercolour background matching my Copic colours, so I used pink and purple Zig watercolour pens. 

I then went back to work on my image using a bit of Polychromo pencils to add a bit of depth, so I mostly added black to the purple clothes and hair, and purple to her skin. I also added some white highlights with the very thin brush of my Copic Opaque White paint. I doodled a few notes in white gel pen too.

And lastly, to really make my image pop, I used a Make it Crafty Chipboard frame. I coloured it using Posca pens and covered the black and pink parts in stickles. I aslo added white dots to my background using a Molotow Paint Marker and changed the colour of my notes too.

A Doodled Tiddly Inks

Hello everyone! I'm sharing a sweet Tiddly Inks make today - a bit special to me since it involves A LOT of doodling! The image called Wryn Waits inspired me to create a special background for her:

Colouring: Mixed Media on Canson Montval

The whole background and image were watercoloured using Zig Clean Color Real Brush and Ecoline Brush Markers. I then used my Polychromos to do the hair. I doodled using Pigma Microns in different sizes and coloured and added details in Sakura gel pens, Stabilo and Staedler pens.

Christmas Angel

Hello everyone! And Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a lovely time with your families and enjoy this special time of the year :) I'm back to share a sweet angel I created with my Paperbabe Stamps products - I love angels and really fell in love with these MDF shapes and stamps. Here is my make:

These angels are really easy to make and there are lots of different combinations you can make. You can see them all HERE! I used a Paperangel Fibreboard Substrate and my Paperangel stamp set to create my make. I first stamped on the MDF shapes using Versafine Toffee Ink and coloured in Polychromos. For the halo, wings and heart, I used lots of stickles. 

The assembling of the different parts was really easy with glue and I chose to have my angel standing so used the MDF stand, but it's also possible to make a hanging ornament using the MDF provided in the kit. Here is the back of the MDF so you can see how the pieces come together :)

See? Easy ;)! And the great thing if you're not into angels, you can just create elegant ladies with the main MDF shape, without adding anything else:

With the season, I just had to make an angel but I will definitely use my ladies all year round!!

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #50

Hello everyone! Today is the start of a new challenge at Paperbabe Stamps and it's an easy one - Anything Goes!! We hope you will join us and try to win a gift voucher to the store! 

For this challenge, I took out my acrylic paints... which I probably have not touched for about 10 months... I had to do a bit of cleaning to remove the dust ;)!! Here is what I did: 

Stamps: Paperbabe Stamps Mini Female Face Stamp Set

Substrate: Paperbabe Stamps MDF Mixed Media Blanks Hanging Circles Set

Templates: Paperbabe Stamps Mini Head and Torso and Blunt Bangs Long 

Stencil: Paperbabe Polka Dots Stencil

Colouring: Acrylic paint, Polychromos, Posca on MDF

I used the big MDF circle from the Mixed Media Blanks Hanging Circles Set to create my portrait. I started to draw the shapes in pencil, using the Mini Head and Torso Templates, and the Blunt Bangs Long Template for the hair. I coloured the skin in acrylic paint then stamped the face features using the Mini Female Face Stamp Set. I painted everything in acrylics then added pencil (Polychromos). For the background, white ink on my Polka Dots Stencil :)

Hello again! Today is the start of a new challenge at Paperbabe Stamps and we have a beautiful Picture Inspiration for you!

I've kept things very simple, stamped my Mayleedee on watercolour paper and added a few flowers to make a scene. I watercoloured everything using Zig Clean Color Real Brush and used my Polychromos for Mayleedee's hair mostly.

May Krafty Peeks... Day FOUR plus a Challenge and some MERMAIDS!

  Hello everyone! Welcome to Day FOUR of the May Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Can you believe the gorgeous stamp sets that just keep on comin'?

I stamped my image on wtc paper then cut it with a CC Designs die. I coloured my background in Zigs wtc pens and my image mostly in Polychromos. I then stamped a few heart branches using a Penny Black Stamp and black ink. The sentiment is from the Tweetie Birds set.
