Paperbabe Stamps Release!

Hello everyone! We have a new release at Paperbabe Stamps which will be available on Saturday June 2nd, and let me tell you, it's simply A.MA.ZING!!! I have been in love with Kim's Mixed Media Templates and MDF Substrates for a long time, but these new MDF just took my breath away!!! I am in LOVE!!! Today we are introducing the Rose Edge MDF Layered Frame, and you can see all the details of this set in photos HERE, on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog, with also detailed pictures of Kim's gorgeous project! Here is my project - which I have loved doing so much, I'm going to make another one :)

I started by creating my Queen of Hearts using my Queen of Hearts MM Templates, and my Female Face Stamp Set (Mini) and Mini Ears stamp set (Mini). The details of her face were stamped using Versafine Onyx Black for the eyelashes, Smoked Gray for the rest. I coloured the black background in Acrylin Ink and coloured my Queen in Acrylic Paint. I then added shading to the face with my Polychromos and Pastel Pencils and added a few details in gel pen.

I then painted the flourish in gold acrylic paint, the roses in Copics and Polychromos, the leaves and hearts in Pentel Hybrid and Sakura gel pens.

I then stuck the flourish on my lady, and the roses on the flourish - easy :)!!

Tiddly Inks Challenge #212

Hello everyone! Today is the start of a new challenge at Tiddly Inks and this time our theme is LET'S GO AROUND! So we would like to see circular creations :) 

For ym card, I used one of the latest images available from the store, called Wish Upon a Star:

I die cut my image with an MFT die and coloured it in Copics. I Added a bit of Distress Inks and Acrylic Ink on the edges plus a few details in Sakura and Pentel Gel Pens, which I alos used to colour my chipboard.

Glimps DT - Mixed Media Ariel

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing my Glimps DT make, a summery creation with an adorable mermaid - Ariel. I decided to do a bit of Mixed Media and picked a Grey Board on which I created my background.

I created the background by sponging Acrylic Fresco Paint on my board then added a bit of Liquitex acrylic inks on the edges. 

I then added a rock, seaweed and details using acrylic paint markers and Sakura and Pentel Gel Pens.

You can (maybe!) see the details a bit better on this picture :)

I coloured Ariel in Copics on Make it Colour Blending Card then did some fussy cutting.

Paperbabe Stamps April Release - Day 1

 

Hello everyone! Today is the first day of previews at Paperbabe Stamps, the DT are introducing new templates and stamps for April! And this new release is devoted to men this time! Kim has designed a versatile male face stamp set with layered eyes, separate lashes, ears, eyebrows, nose, and even stubble stamp - so everything to create the face you would like to see!

And of course, there are male templates too with three different hairstyles! 

Today's stamp set and templates are Standard Size - here is what I have created, about 9x12" piece:)

Colouring: Acrylic Paint, Markers and Ink mostly (plus a bit of Polychromos, Posca and Neocolor II) on Canson Fontenay CP

I challenged myself to use only (mostly) acrylics this time - scary for me especially when working big! I traced around my hair template, then aroud the face and neck templates in pencil. I coloured the skin tones in acrylic paint, then stamped the face details. I coloured them and shaded in Polychromos. I then did most of the background and went back to finish my man. The hair was done using mostly acrylic markers and the shirt is acrylic paint with Posca.

Tiddly Inks Fab Friday!

Hello everyone! It's Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks and my teamies have gorgeous inspiration for you HERE! I have a little make to share too, using a beautiful digi stamp I love called Chi!

HUGE SPRING SALE at Quixotic Paperie!

The card I'm sharing today features one of the Gorjuss stamps still available from the store - and 25% off too - with which I created a little scene.

This Gorjuss Girl is called Little Red and I stamped her on Make It Colour Blending Card, coloured her in Copics, then cut her out. For the background, I used watercolour paper and used a combination of Dylusion Inks for the sky and acrylic inks and acrylic paint for the rest of the background. I'm sorry, my camera hates my blue/ purple background and turned it into a flashy blue but it's more purple in real life :(... and with Blogger automatically enhancing the photos :(... well, it's nicer in real life!!!

Tiddly Inks Fab Friday!

Hello everyone! It's Friday so time for a Tiddly Inks little make! I have a thing with mermaids and Tiddly Inks have a set I love called Floating By - available from Tiddly Inks of course and from Quixotic Paperie too!  I used one of the mermaids from the set, and a little fish too;)...

Colouring: Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card and watercolour and acrylic inks on Canson Montval

I coloured my mermaid in Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card and cut her out. For the background, I used watercolour inks and acrylic ink for the weeds. It is not that "uniform" IRL, there are different shades of blue, but my camera does not like my blue backgrounds and is not able to pick the different shades :(
