BIG colouring!!

Bonjour à tous! Grand format aujourd'hui!

Hello everyone! Today, I've decided to go BIG! Yes, instead of making a card, I had a frame to fill so decided why not colour a big A4 image to go in it? I used an XL Gorjuss Girl stamp, which you can see below on an A4 sheet to give you an idea.

After stamping my Gorjuss Girl, I traced a rectangle using a Copic grey Multiliner to determine where I would stop my colouring - the idea being to just cut off some of the white edges to frame my girl in an 18x24 frame.

I started by colouring the background without trying to blend the colours. I used V12, 15, 17. Very messy, but not a problem!

I then used my Blender 0 Refill on a natural sponge and dabbed until I was satisfied with the background.

La Gorjuss - peau d'abord avec du YR000, 00, 01, E11, E71 et un peu de RV02 pour les joues.

Now to the colouring of my girl itself - I started with the skin as usual, in YR000, 00, 01, E11, E71 and a bit of RV02 for the cheeks.

I then focussed on the clothes using the same colour family as my background - the purple is V09, 12, 15, 17. For the black of her dress, I used C5, 7, 9 and for the socks C0, 1, 3. As you can see, I did not pay too much attention to the little dots on her dress since I knew I would cover them in gel or paint pen at the end.

I coloured the hair using my C markers to really have harmony in the picture - so C5, 7, 9 too, as for the dress. Here is a recap of all the colours I used:

Skin/ Peau: E11, 71, YR000, 00, 01, RV02
Hair/ Cheveux: C5, 7, 9
Dress/ Robe: C5, 7, 9, V09, 12, 15, 17
Socks/ Chaussettes: C0, 1, 3, V12, 15, 17
Ground/ Sol: C3, 5
Background/ Fond: V12, 15, 17

As a final touch, I added hearts using the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Happy Hearts Stencil and a Pentel gel pen, and I also added a bit of white and gold highlights in Posca pen and gel pen too.

Merci de votre visite et bonne journée!

That's all from me today, thank you very much for your visit! Hugs,
Delphine xx

We are kicking things off BIG today with a fabulous new stamp set from artist Neda Sadreddin,
MAKE A WISH...

And we have TWO NEW STENCILS for you this month! LOTS O' DOTS and WONKY CHEVRON!

And of course, new dots... FRUITY DOTS!

And now, my card using today's set, MAKE A WISH :)

Ma carte, avec le set Make a Wish :)

Stamps: Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Make a Wish
Inks: Kraftin' Kimmie Wicked Black Ink
Colouring: Copics on Make it Colour Blending Card
Dies: MFT

I stamped 2 characters from the Make a Wish set and die cut my paper with a die matching the scene in my mind ;) I coloured everything in Copics and drew a simple background. I then mounted my scene onto an MFT scalloped die that I coloured with a metallic Pitt pen.

You'll get to see ALL of our new goodies in action today and over the next few days and they will all be released at our LIVE ONLINE RELEASE PARTY on Sunday May 12th at 1pm EST!

Krafty Tutorial - Savannah!

Hello everyone! I'm back to share a step-by-step tutorial on a savannah scene make. I have used a super sweet giraffe from the Kraftin' Kimmie Wild World set and decided to give it a background.

I die cut a piece of paper and airbrushed it using my Copics. I used YR07, 16 then Y15, 11 to suggest a sunset scene.

I then drew a background, using the chisel nibs of my C7 and C9 to create the ground, then I doodled the rest in Copic multiliners. For the blades of grass in the foreground, I used my Copic Small Brush Multiliner.

I stamped the giraffe from the Wild World Set in Wicked Black Hybrid Ink, did some fussy cutting and coloured it in Copics. Quick tip: I coloured the whole body without paying attention to the dark "spots" of the giraffe, much easier to place the shadows than going around all the little details ;)! On the photo above, I used E41 and E50 only - you will see the rest of the colouring below!

I put my savannah background on a card base, then added my coloured giraffe on foam pads for a bit of dimension. Here are all the colours I used:

Giraffe: E29, 41, 50, 99, W1, 3
Background/ Sky Y11, 15, YR07, 16
Background/ Black: C7, 9, Copic multiliners

Girafe: E29, 41, 50, 99, W1, 3
Fond/ Ciel:Y11, 15, YR07, 16
Fond/ Noir: C7, 9, Copic multiliners

And I thought why not put a frame? That would make a nice gift!

Thank you very much for stopping by, have a great day everyone! Hugs,
Delphine xx

Vamos A La Playa!

Hello everyone! Dreaming of holidays and nice weather? Well, let's got to the beach today ;)! I'm sharing the sunny card I created for my Glimps DT post, using the sweet Vamos A La Playa digi image. I did some fussy cutting and coloured her in Copics.

Skin: E71, YR000, 00, 01
Hair: Y11, YR21, 27
Clothes: BG11, 13, V01
Hat: E50, 51, 53, 55
Bag: BG11, 13, 45, 49
Glasses: C7, RV52, 55

I then picked some DPs to create a backgroudn for my character. From the top, I layered 2 different Bella Blvd DPs, and added an MFT brown DP to suggest the sand - a piece I cut with a Martha Steward border punch.

I then put all my elements together: background on the card base, a sentiment I cut from a Doodlebug pad that I put on foam for a bit of dimension. I put my character on foam too, and as a final touch, I added a few sequins and dots.

Image: Glimps Vamos A La Playa
Colouring: Copics on Make it Colour Blending Card
DPs: Bella Blvd, Doodlebug, MFT
Other: KKS Dots, sequins

Make it Crafty Ashlyn

Hello everyone! I'm back to share a Copic card I made for the Copic Marker Europe blog, featuring a beautiful Make it Crafty image called Ashlyn.

I cropped my image to keep only the upper part of Ashlyn and then quickly coloured the background using B69, making quick circular movements since the idea here was not to have a smooth background.

Next I coloured the skin using YR000, 00, 01 and RV02, as shown by Zoe from Make it Crafty in her Basic Techniques when Colouring Faces Ebook. For the eyes, I used B00, 02, 60, 63. I also added a bit of B63 to the skin.

I then did her clothing, keeping the same tones as my background - so I used B63, 66, 69.

I then coloured the hair strand by strand starting on the left of my image, in E49, 57, 59 and YR23.

To make the background a bit smoother, I added Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks on the edges. With a Kraftin' Kimmie Starbust Stencil, I drew stars in a gold gel pen. I also wrote a little sentiment on a strip of paper that I put on foam. Here is the recap of all the Copics I used:

Skin: YR000, 00, 01, B63
Eyes: B000, 02, 60, 63
Hair: E49, 57, 59, YR23
Clothes: B63, 66, 69
Background: B69

Thank you very much for your visit, have a great day! Hugs,
Delphine xx
