Tutorial - Mixed Media Halloween

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a Mixed Media Halloween scene. I chose to use 3 super cute Halloween stamps sets from the Kraftin' Kimmie Store - MINI MONSTERS, HAUNTED HOUSE and HARVEST BLESSINGS. I stamped elements from the Mini Monsters and Harvest Blessings set in Wicked Black Ink, did some fussy cutting and colored them in Copics.

Skin/ Peau: E21, 50, 51
Purple costume/ Costume violet: V09, 15, 17
Red Costume/ Costume rouge: C7, R35, 37, 39
Horns/ Cornes: E41, 43
Balloons/ Ballons: G28, YG01, 03, 17
Pumpkins/ Citrouilles: Y35, YG95, 99, YR04, 07, E08, 19
Cat/ Chat: C2, 4, 6, R20

Now to the background:

Et maintenant le fond:

I used a square grey board and covered it in red, orange and yellow paints applied with a sponge.

To add a bit of interest to my scene and really have a Halloween feel to it, I stamped the HAUNTED HOUSE in Versafine.

I then coloured the house using Pitt pens and gel pens. I also created a hill using acrylic paint and a sponge so the house would not be floating in the air ;)!

Next, I decided to add a bit contrast to the sky, so I added a bit of Ruby Red Hybrid Ink with a sponge dauber on the edges of my sky, then some Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. I also stamped a little ghost and 2 stars, coloured with Posca pens.

I then glued my elements on my board. The only character which I put on foam squares for a bit of dimension is the little purple monster.

And lastly, I added a bit of gold to the edges of my board and some gel pen touches here and there. And voilà :)!

Thanks for stopping by, have a fab Monday everyone! Hugs,
Merci de votre visite, bonne journée à tous! Bises,
Delphine xx

Krafty Komeback!

Hello everyone! It's time for a Krafty Komeback! How about a Halloween comeback, with one of my all times favourite stamps by Annie Rodrigue :)? As you know lots of the rubber stamp sets at Kraftin' Kimmie have long retired and are not available for purchase anymore and a few of our faves are being rereleased in CLEAR! And today we're announcing a new one!

So, as I was saying, Annie Rodrigue has revamped this fabulously spooky image and some of the sentiments have been changed too, so even if you have the original from years ago, you'll want the new WITCHYPOO!!!

Here is my make for today, another mixed media board:

Stamp: Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Witchypoo
Colouring: Copics on Make it Color Blending Card and Fresco Paint and Distress Paint on white board

I coloured Witchypoo in Copics and fussy cut it. I did a background on a white board using Fresco and Distress Paints, then stamped a few elements in black using stamps from my stash. Then I put my witch on foam squares for a bit of dimension - and because she is flying ;)!

The Krafty Krew DT members listed below have created some spooky creations to inspire you so be sure to hop around! Then hop over to the shop because WITCHYPOO is NOW AVAILABLE!

It's also Frugal Friday and we've got FOUR sets on sale 40% OFF! But only for the weekend and only while supplies last! So be sure to check them out!

Happy hoppin'! Hugs,

Hello everyone! It's Fabulous Friday at Tiddly Inks and I have decided to take out my little Art Journal and have a play - a long play, but so much fun! This is Page 6 of my journal, featuring the latest Tiddly Inks image released - Wryn My Happy Thought - and she is just too cute!

Images and Stamps: Tiddly Inks Wryn My Happy Thought, Artemio, The Greeting Farm, Marianne Design, Kaisercraft
Colouring: Copics, Acrylic Paint, Posca pens, Gelatos
Stencil: CC Designs Heart Stencil

I added a lot of hearts but I kept seeing hearts when looking at this cute little Wryn ;) The background was done using acrylic paint - Pebeo this time and Distress Paint - I used a heart stamp by The Greeting Farm and circles by Artemio, added a bit of texture with a KAisercraft stamp. I used Posca markers to add little dots here and there, a bit of doodling and to outline the hearts. The alphabet is by Marianne Design.

To colour Wryn, I used Copics, then glued her to my page.

Paperbabe Stamps February Release - Day Two!

Hello everyone! Today is our second day of previews at Paperbabe Stamps and you're going to see lots of dots everywhere - as stamps and stencils YAY!!! First, there is the Pop Dot Set which is a polka dot stamp set with four stamps with dots in different sizes. For my first 2 cards, I combined the dot stamps to the Birthday Wishes Stamp Set we introduced yesterday:

I used one of the dot strip from the set which I stamped several times in a pale pink ink to create the background. I then stamped 2 words from the Birthday Wishes Stamp Set, stamped the candles in purple and the flames in yellow.

For this one, I stamped everything in Versamark and embossed using gold embossing powder. I started by creating a dotted border with another strip from the Pop Dot Stamp Set, then stamped words and the bubbles from the Birthday Wishes Sentiment Set

For my last card, I used one of the four new dotted stencils being released - there are 4 stencils, with 4 different sizes of dots! I used the bigger dot stencil on a piece of watercolour paper first painted with Distress Paint - and used Glitter Paste on my stencil to create those yummy dots. On another piece of painted watercolour paper, I stamped the word Celebrate from the Birthday Wishes Stamp Set and added glitter paste on the edges, then adhered it to my dotted background :)

Don't forget to stop by the Paperbabe Stamps Blog for great inspiration by Kim and Chris! Thank you very much for your visit, have a great day! Hugs,
Delphine xx

Paperbabe Stamps New Release Day 2

Hello everyone! Today is Day 2 of our new release at Paperbabe Stamps and today it is all about Quotes :) Kim is releasing gorgeous art quotes in red rubber in different beautiful fonts :) They are perfect for cards, by themselves or with a character, on art journal pages or in mixed media pieces - lots of possibilities!!! I really enjoyed creating this card and just had to use this quote about art...

Stamps: Paperbabe Stamps Art quote
Colouring: Neocolor II, Distress Paints, ink pads
Other: Kesi 'Art splatter stencil

I did the coloured background first using mostly Neocolor IIs. Then, to create the heart form, I cut a heart in a piece of acetate and then used the negative form as a mask for my background. I used a splatter stencil to create splatters with inks inside my heart.

Challenge I am entering:
Take It Make It - Anything goes (#2)

Hello everyone! And welcome back to a new challenge at Paperbabe Stamps!!! This time we are back with an awesome sketch for you! You can use it for a card, scrapbook layout, mixed media, whatever you like - have fun! AND we would love to see your Paperbabe Stamps in action, BUT you can now use any stamps you like!

I've been feeling a bit blue these past days and felt the urge to do an art journal page - this is the 4th page in my journal, you can see the others HERE - and so I kept the shapes of the sketch in mind to create it. Here it is, featuring the gorgeous MayLeeDee I love so much!

Stamp: Paperbabe Stamps Mayleedee mounted rubber stamp (also available as clear stamp and digi)
Colouring: Copics and Prismacolor pencils on Make It Colour Blending Card for Mayleedee
Background: Distress Paint, Gelatos, Pitt Artist pens
Other: Stencils, Stickers, Toga DP, text stamp

I stamped Mayleedee on Make It Colour Blending Card, coloured her in Copics plus some Prismacolor pencils, and cut her out. For the background, I used a piece of Toga DP for the hill, stamped text on it and used Pitt Artist Pens to add shading. The sky was made with Distress Paints, Pitt Pens and Gelatos and I used two stencils with ink and embossing paste. I added Gold stickles for a bit of sparkle. I finished by the stickers and little golden heart.

Challenges I am entering:
Take It Make It Challenge - Stencilling (#2)
Simon Says Stamp - Add A Little Texture
