A Special Scene for a year in review at ATS...

Hello everyone! I'm back today to share what I did for All That Scraps, for the last Make It Monday (on a Saturday:)) post of the year! Because it is the last one for 2012, I thought I would make a special scene, using characters from most of the CC Designs lines of stamps... My idea was to show the 4 seasons and make a sort of review of the year, with characters released in 2012... Here is what I did...

It is an A4 scene, all coloured with Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card (or HERE for Europe). All the characters are CC Designs and I have added a few Make It Crafty elements to fill the background - Tree Of Love on the left and Large Pine Tree and Winter Fence on the right.
Here are some close-ups with all the characters I used... 

To represent SPRING, I used Laugh Lines Garden, Bunny Lucy sitting on Field Fence and a cute little Sweet November Fairy from the A Little Bit Of Magic Fairies Set

For SUMMER, I used Berry Beatrice standing in front of Summer Emma and another SN fairy from the
the A Little Bit Of Magic Fairies Set

For FALL, Punkin Beatrice sitting in front of Indian Emma

And for WINTER, Santa Lula, Mini Winter Evie, Mashi's Muffin Baby It's Cold Outside, Meoples Dress Up Snowman and an AmyR sentiment from the set called Frosty Greetings

Tutorial - Colouring Winter Trees with Copics

Hello everyone!
Today I'd like to share a little seasonal tutorial I did for Copic Marker Europe - how to colour winter trees. I have prepared a Magnolia scene, with Snowy Hug as the focus, the Heart Fence stamped on each side and Winter Forest which I stamped 3 times to have more snowy trees :). The sentiment is by Magnolia too. For this tutorial, I am going to show you close ups of a couple of trees on the right of my scene.

Bonjour à tous! 
Aujourd'hui je vous montre un petit tutoriel de saison que j'ai fait pour Copic Marker Europe - comment colorier des sapins enneigés.  J'ai préparé une petite scène Magnolia avec comme personnages Snowy Hug, la barrière Heart Fence tamponnée de chaque côté et mes arbres Winter Forest que j'ai tamponnés 3 fois pour avoir plus de sapins:). Le sentiment est aussi un Magnolia. Pour ce tuto, je vais me focaliser sur 2 arbres à droite de ma scène.

Here are the Copics needed to colour those snowy trees: 

G40, YG03, 17, 67, C00, 1, 3

Step 1: /Etape 1:

I start with a light green, G40, and quickly colour the areas I want to be green. I do not put colour on the ends of the branches because I want them to look heavy with snow.

Je commence avec un vert clair, G40, et je délimite les zones que je voudrais faire vertes. Pas de vert sur le bout des branches qui seront pleines de neige.

Step 2: /Etape 2:

I colour with my darkest green, YG67, covering some of the area I defined with my G40 and I colour making tiny dots for a bit texture.

En faisant des petits points, je colorie avec mon vert le plus foncé, YG67, sur les zones que j'ai délimitées avec mon G40.

Step 3: /Etape 3:

Still colouring making little dots, I cover my YG 67 dots with YG 17 and expand the green a little.

Toujours en faisant des petits points, je couvre ce que j'ai fait en YG 67 avec mon YG 17 et j'élargis un peu la zone verte.

Step 4: /Etape 4:

Same process with YG03 this time.

Même chose avec mon YG03.

Step 5: /Etape 5:

Now I am going to lightly blend all my greens with my G40.

J'adoucis l'ensemble de mes verts en coloriant avec mon G40.

Step 6:/Etape 6: 

I am now colouring the white with my Cs. I start with C3, and I also add a bit of C3 in the green, where my darkest areas should be.

Je colorie le blanc avec mes C. Je commence avec mon C3 et j'en ajoute un peu dans les zones vertes, pour en foncer certaines.

Step 7: /Etape 7:

Next, I use C1 over my C3 and expand the "grey" area a little. Then I add C00.

J'élargis ma zone grise en utilisant maintenant mon marqueur C1. Même chose ensuite avec mon C00.

And that's how I make my winter trees!

Tutorial - No Line Colouring with a Digi

Hello everyone! Does that picture look familiar? Well that's because you already saw it!!! I posted it a month ago and then posted tips on the MIC store blog on how I made my digi ready for no line colouring. I forgot to post my tips here but I like having everything I do posted on my blog too, so let's say it is better late than never lol! I used Microsoft Word to alter the light of my image, my software is in French but I hope you can understand with the following pictures. 

Bonjour à tous! Cette image vous dit quelque chose? Normal, vous l'avez vue il y a un mois:)! Je l'ai publiée et j'ai ensuite publié un tuto rapide sur le blog de Make It Crafty sur comment je prépare un digi pour faire du no line et j'ai complètement oublié de le publier sur mon blog! Mieux vaut tard que jamais! J'utilise Word pour modifier la luminosité de mon image.

 The image I used is the super cute Fairy Twinkles.

 L'image que j'ai utilisée est l'adorable Fairy Twinkles.

First, I right clicked on my image and chose the symbol at the bottom (Format).

D'abord, je clique droit sur mon image et je choisis "Format".

In the window that opened, I clicked on "Recolour" as shown in the red circle and then chose the 3rd symbol on the second line, and this is what I got...

 Dans la fenêtre qui s'ouvre, cliquez sur "Recolorier" et choisissez le 3e symbole sur la 2e ligne, voilà ce que vous obtenez...

The image on the left is the result of what I have just shown you, the one on the right is the original image with dark lines.

L'image à gauche est le résultat de ce que je viens de vous montrer, celle à droite, l'image originale.

As you can see, the symbol I clicked on (3rd symbol 2nd line) automatically changed the light and contrast (to 70% and -70%). It is a setting I found and like. But it is possible not to use that symbol and play with the light setting yourself. To do so, once you have right clicked on your image and chosen "Format" as shown in Step 1, just play with the "light" arrow until you are satisified.

And here is the image coloured...

Comme vous pouvez le constater, le symbole sur lequel j'ai cliqué (3e symbole, 2e ligne) a automatiquement changé la luminosité et le contraste ( 70% et -70%), un réglage qui me convient bien. Mais vous pouvez ne pas cliquer sur ce symbole et modifier la luminosité vous-même. Pour le faire, une fois que vous avez cliqué droit sur l'image et choisi "Format" comme vu dans l'étape 1, faites bouger la flèche "Luminosité" jusqu'à ce que vous trouviez un réglage qui vous convient. Pour rappel, voilà l'image coloriée...

Santa's Little Helper "à la Zoe" :)

Hello everyone! I'm here today to share the card I made for Copic Marker Europe, a "special" Christmas card, CAS as always, but special because completely inspired by Zoe's (from Make It Crafty) colouring. She has shared some amazing cards with her "no line colouring" technique lately, with extremely vibrant colours that left me speechless, so I couldn't resist the challenge and just had to try and make one with my Copics too! Here is my tribute to her:)....

Bonjour à tous! Je vous montre aujourd'hui la carte que j'ai faite pour Copic Marker Europe, une carte "spéciale", simple comme toujours, mais complètement inspirée par Zoe, que j'admire tant! Dernièrement, elle a fait des cartes hallucinantes avec sa technique du "no line", avec des couleurs  soutenues, je n'ai pas résisté à l'envie d'essayer... Dès qu'il s'agit de colorier:)... Hommage à Zoe :)... 

 

I used 2 Magnolia stamps, Tilda Santa's Little Helper which I masked with Christmas Presents using a pale ink - Adirondack Cloudy Blue. I coloured everything in Copics and used a pencil to draw/ colour the eyes and eyebrows. My DPs are by Bo Bunny and the Holly Chipboard is from the MIC Holly Decorations set (available HERE for Europe). I coloured my chipboard in Copics and added silver liquid pearls after. Here is a close up on the image and list of Copics I used:
