Make It Crafty Blog Hop!

Hello all! Welcome to the Make It Crafty Blog Hop! You should have hopped here from Julie's blog. If you are just joining us and would like to start at the beginning, please go to Alyce's blog! We are all very excited today, not only are we celebrating a new release, but we are also celebrating a new illustrator Marina! She has a whimsical style and is going to bring lots of gorgeous backgrounds and characters, starting today with the "Under The Sea" collection!

Bonjour!

There are LOTS of prizes to win, and something at every stop! We all have an image for you and you could also win one of 3 big prizes at the end of the hop, at the store blog! And don't forget about the candy giveaway too, see at the top of my sidebar:-)! You have until Sunday 6th to do the hop and winners will be announced on Monday!

What I had in mind was to put the focus and spotlight on the gorgeous Mermaid Shellina and I kept thinking about portholes, so here is the result! I have used the Underwater Mermaid Surprise Scene and only kept a small part of the image. It was coloured with Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card. I added a Circle Flourish Frame and Swirly Corners Chipboard and wanted to have a sort of rusty look, so I coloured them with Copics, and added a mixture of Diamond Glaze and Glamour Dust to each chipboard (and to the mermaid also for a bit of sparkle)! Here is a close up on the image and list of Copics used...

Mermaid Shellina/ Sirène: E0000, 000, 00, 11, 13 (Skin/Peau) / E31, 33, 35, 37, Y00 (Hair/Cheveux) / B91, 93, 95, 97, 99 (Scales/Ecailles)
Seahorse/Hippocampe: YR02, 04, 18, 21, 24
Sea/Mer: B0000, 000, 00, 12, 14, 16, 18, 37

Now your next stop on the hop is the super talented Barbara! And if you are lost, here is the full list of the hop:
