Quixotic Paperie latest stamp news... and Queen ;)

This one is Dragon Queen - isn't she totally amazing? I stamped her onto Make It Colour Blending Card and coloured her in Copics. The sentiment is one which comes with the set and I have added a few die-cut bats. For the background, I used my Copics too and then added Distress Inks all around my image.

ETA: I have had some questions on how to do the background on Facebook - I just colour the background quickly in Copics without trying to make it all look smooth, then I colour my image, then I add Distress Inks to the borders using a Distress Blending Tool. It's a technique I learned a long time ago from my gorgeous friend Zoe!!!

MiC Birthday Card for Quixotic Paperie DT :)

Hello everyone! I hope you have all enjoyed your weekend! I'm back to share a simple Birthday card for my Quixotic Paperie Inspiration post using one of the latest Make it Crafty Rubber stamps perfect for the occasion.

Bonjour à tous! Je reviens avec une carte d'anniversaire que j'ai faite pour Quixotic Paperie avec l'un des derniers tampons Make it Crafty :)

I stamped the adorable Toni Heart Balloon by Make it Crafty on Make It Colour Blending Card and coloured her with Copics. I die-cut my image with an MFT die and added a Tiddly Inks sentiment from the Ellie Says Happy Birthday stamp set. I put my image on foam squares onto a piece of heart DP to match the heart balloon.

J'ai tamponné la petite Toni Heart Balloon de Make it Crafty sur papier Make It Colour Blending Card et je l'ai coloriée au Copic. J'ai utilisé une découpe MFT pour couper l'image et j'ai ajouté un sentiment Tiddly Inks du set Ellie Says Happy Birthday. J'ai mis mon image sur mousse 3D au-dessus d'un bout de papier à coeurs assorti au ballon.

Spreading Sunshine at Quixotic Paperie!

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope today's little card will cheer you up - I have found an image at Quixotic Paperie which screams happiness to me and combined it to Make It Crafty backgrounds. It puts a smile on my face :)

Bonjour à tous! J'espère que la carte d'aujourd'hui amènera un petit sourire pour ceux qui en ont besoin - j'ai trouvé dans la boutique Quixotic Paperie une image 100% bonheur, que j'ai combinée aux tampons Make It Crafty pour une petite scène au Copic:)

This cutie is Lil Orphan Annie by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. I stamped her on Make It Colour Blending Card, masked her legs and stamped the Make It Crafty Spring Pebble Ground. I then decided to add a few branches to fill the upper space of the scene and used my Make It Crafty Spring Branch three times. Please note, these two Make It Crafty stamps are available as single stamps or as part of the Spring Garden Collection Set, a must have to create scenes. I added a sentiment from the Tiddly Inks Beach Babe Stamp Set. 

Ce tampon Krafin' Kimmie s'appelle Lil Orphan Annie. Je l'ai tamponné sur papier Make It Colour Blending Card, j'ai masqué ses jambes puis tamponné le sol Make It Crafty Spring Pebble Ground. J'ai ensuite voulu remplir l'espace supérieur et ai donc utilisé les branches Make It Crafty Spring Branch, que j'ai tamponnées 3 fois. 1st Challenge at Paperbabe Stamps!!!

Hello again! I'm back to tell you about the very first challenge at Paperbabe Stamps - starting now! We hope you will join us and share Paperbabe projects with us! You almost have 2 weeks to enter and you can combine with other challenges too! 

Bonjour à tous! Me revoilà pour vous parler du tout premier challenge Paperbabe Stamps qui commence maintenant!  Nous espérons que vous partagerez vos créations Paperbabe Stamps avec nous! Vous avez presque 2 semaines et vous pouvez combiner. 

Our challenge this week is a great Sketch :) Notre premier challenge est le sketch suivant :)

And here is my card based on that sketch :) Et voilà ma carte :)

I used my Dillon Frost Sprite clear stamp and stamped him on Make It Colour Blending Card. I masked him to airbrush my background - I always start with the background so I can easily start again if I am not happy with my result - and go from my lightest colour to the darkest. I added a bit of glitter tape and a Make It Crafty Chipboard Snowflake, coloured in white acrylic. 

J'ai utilisé mon tampon Dillon Frost Sprite, tamponné sur papier Make It Colour Blending Card. Je l'ai masqué pour commencer par le fond à l'aérographe - plus simple pour recommencer si besoin - et j'ai utilisé ma couleur la plus claire pour aller vers la plus foncée. J'ai ajouté du scotch à paillettes et un flocon Make It Crafty, colorié à l'acrylique blanche.

Airbrushed Make It Crafty Sunset

Hello everyone! I'm back with some Make It Crafty inspiration with my all time favourite background, The Beach, and the adorable Hula Girl. Special note to my American friends, did you know you can get Make It Crafty stamps from CC Designs now;)? 

I wanted to play a bit more with my airbrush. I have tried different sunsets in the past but never with my airbrush and thought I would give it a go. Personal challenge ;) It was real fun, though I admit it took me some time ;)... Here is what I have done...

I stamped Hula Girl on Make It Colour Blending Card, masked her then stamped The Beach. I made several masks, one for the island, one for the sea, one with the bottom part of the image. I covered everything and started with the sunset sky. Then I covered the sky and removed the sea mask and airbrushed the sea. I finished with the sand. Then I coloured the island with my Copics and Hula Girl.

CC Designs Make It Monday

Hello everyone! I'm sharing a simple card with a simple home-made background paper I made for my CC Designs Make It Monday. I love adding colour to paper myself and tend not to use all the DPs in my stash. Today, I'm using a stamp from the new AmyR Spooked Out Sentiment Set, one that I find perfect to make your own paper. 

First, I stamp my sentiments several times - I want 6 for my cards, so do a couple more to be on the safe side. If you line up your sentiments very well, you could even use your sheet as is. 

To add colour, I use my Airbrush with 3 different Copics (Y13, Y38 YR09) starting with my lightest colour, then medium, then darkest colour. If you don't have an airbrush, you can use Distress Inks to create your coloured background.

I then cut all my sentiments and paste them on a piece of black cardstock. And that's the base of my card!

Now to add my coloured image, Witch Sue :)

I have used my airbrush to add some colour around her too :)

Let's Roll to Quixotic Paperie ;)!

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! Have you grabbed the new The Greeting Farm stamps available from Quixotic Paperie? Well, I have and have used mine straightaway! Here is a little card using the Twisted Kit :)

Bonjour à tous! Avez-vu les nouveaux tampons The Greeting Farm disponibles chez Quixotic Paperie? J'ai reçu les miens et j'ai voulu les utiliser tout de suite bien sûr! Voici donc une petite carte réalisée avec le set Twisted Kit :)

Please meet Twin Marko and Desiree! I thought they would make a nice couple ;) I stamped them both on Make It Colour Blending Card, coloured them with my Copics and cut them out. For the background I used a texture stamp which reminded me of tyre prints and used my airbrush to add some colour to the card. I then airbrushed a die cut heart and added one of the sentiments which comes with the Twisted Stamp Kit. 

Je vous présente Twin Marko et Desiree! J'ai pensé qu'ils feraient un couple sympa ;) Je les ai tamponnés sur papier Make It Colour Blending Card, colorié avec mes Copic, puis je les ai découpés. Pour le fond, j'ai utilisé un tampon texture qui me faisait penser à des empreintes de pneu et j'ai utilisé mon airbrush pour mettre un peu de couleur. J'ai passé à l'airbrush un coeur puis j'ai ajouté un des sentiments qui vient avec le set Twisted Kit.

I have used On The Frame - although I have used only one image from the set, you should know it's a set which comes with 2 characters and 2 beautiful sentiments! I love this cute little face and big hair! I coloured my image using Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card.

J'ai utilisé On The Frame - bien que je n'ai utilisé qu'une image, le set digital comprend 2 personnages et 2 beaux sentiments en anglais! Une carte très simple comme à mon habitude avec cette petite dont j'aime beaucoup les longs cheveux! J'ai colorié mon image au Copic naturellement, sur papier Make It Colour Blending Card:)

And one thing I absolutely love about these stamps is that they are quite big and can be used by themselves, with the focus on the character center stage :) I stamped Mayleedee Little Red on Make It Colour Blending Card, coloured her with Copics and cut her out. On watercolour paper, I painted a background, pasted my character on it and stamped the sentiment which comes with the Mayleedee clear stamp.
