Hello all! I hope you are well? If you have read the title of the post, you will know why I am very excited today! I have been invited to be Guest Designer for Little Miss Muffet Stamps for August! Make It Colourful, Crafty... Crazy:-) (3/3)

Hello all! I can't believe the weather is so bad... but that is a very good excuse to craft:-)! So here is my last card for the Make It Colourful Special Challenge to celebrate the first birthday of Make It Crafty and for a few other challenges:-)!

Embellishments: Make It Crafty chipboard, diamond glaze, Glamour Dust

For the tail of the mermaid, I mixed diamond glaze and glamour dust then used a brush to paint the tail:-). It bent my image when it got dry but I think it is more natural like that and gives more dimension. Pour la queue de la sirène, j'ai mélangé Diamond Glaze et Glamour Dust, puis étalé mon mélange au pinceau. En séchant, cela a légèrement courbé l'image, mais je trouve ça sympa, ça donne un peu plus de relief et de naturel...

 

I coloured the Make It Crafty corner with my Copic Y26 and added the same combo of diamond glaze and Glamour Dust on it for a bit of sparkle. I added some glamour dust to the waves too.

I coloured everything on my card, everything (except for the matting) is white CS coloured with Copics. I would have loved to add a palm tree in the background but was not able to print anything since I still haven't got my computer and can't print from my laptop:-(... (but I should get it back before the weekend, yay!) And to finish, a bit of handstitching...

J'ai colorié le petit coin avec mon Copic Y26, puis j'ai ajouté le même mélange pour que ça brille un peu, et évidemment les vagues ont aussi eu droit à quelques paillettes.
A part les papiers du cadre, tout sur ma carte n'est que papier blanc colorié au Copic. Il manque un petit palmier dans le fond, mais je n'ai pas pu l'imprimer depuis mon portable, heureusement je devrais bientôt récupérer mon PC:-) Et pour finir, quelques points à la main, j'adore la couture, mais uniquement sur les cartes...

Make It Colourful, Crafty... Crazy (2/3)!

Hello all! Thank you all so much for the lovely comments you left on my sort of painting, they really mean a lot to me! I am back with my second project for the Make It Colourful Special Challenge to celebrate Zoe's Make It Crafty store's first birthday!

I have 2 cards to show you, both are for Category 5 - Create a project with Make It Crafty images coloured with the Make It Crafty logo colours, and I would also like to enter the first one into Category 2 - Creative Combination of Make It Crafty images (my second entry in this category, I hope it fits, if not, please ignore).

Bonjour à toutes et un grand merci pour vos adorables commentaires sur mon coloriage géant:-)! Me revoici avec un autre projet pour le Challenge spécial de Make It Colourful pour célébrer le premier anniversaire de Make It Crafty, la boutique de Zoe.

J'ai fait 2 cartes pour participer à la 5e catégorie du challenge (utiliser les couleurs du logo de Make It Crafty) et ma 1e carte est aussi pour la 2e catégorie du challenge (Combiner les images de manière créative).

Since I was to use the colours of the MIC logo, I thought it would be nice to actually include the logo on my card and make something really in honour of the store.

Puisqu'il fallait utiliser les couleurs du logo de Make It Crafty, j'ai pensé qu'inclure le logo pour faire une carte en l'honneur de la boutique serait une bonne idée.

I got Zoe's permission to do it and here is the result... J'ai demandé à Zoe la permission d'utiliser son logo sur mes cartes, voici le résultat...

They are not Charlie's Angels, nor James Bond girls, but Make It Crafty girls:-)! Image only and recipe...

Make It Colourful, Crafty... Crazy:-) (1/3?)

Good evening all! A little break from my hectic routine:-)... My car is in the garage and the good news is it is being repaired (they are changing the door too) and the insurance company will pay for most of the damage, except for £200, so I guess it is good news... Thank you all for your support:-)! 

Tonight I would like to show you what I did while on holiday... remember, I told you I had my beloved Copics and images with me? So, this is the first of 3 posts I think, that is if nothing unexpected happens! I wanted to take part in the Special Make It Colourful Challenge to celebrate Make It Crafty's store turning one, Make It Crafty being Zoe's store. My project is for 2 categories:

Category 1 - Merge as many Make It Crafty images into one scene (I used 8 different images and some several times which makes 10 images, see all the details below)

Category 2 - Creative combination of Make It Crafty images (I hope it fits, if not please ignore)

I loved playing with my digis to create that scene. Be prepared, there are quite a few pictures of my coloured sort of painting:-) (the picture is much better if you click on it),

It is 9.5 x 5.75 inches IRL (about 24x15cm), and it took me over 15 hours to colour it all. I think I am either crazy, or in love, or both:-)!

 Fifi is so cute that I also coloured another one for a card, which I would like to enter into this week's Make It Colourful challenge #26 - Colouring hair (NOT normal colours), that is if I can make it before the deadline!!!! Here is my Fifi...

Me again... apologies... what a day!

Another little hello... Just to tell you I have still not been able to walk in blogland and visit you, I think I need a little time.. Since I was back, not long!!!, I have found out that my PC is not working anymore (have spent again SOME time on it) and this morning when I needed to take my car, I discovered it was not working as it should, well because a naughty somebody stole pieces FROM THE ENGINE of my car, but not my car, nothing inside the car, just things under the bonnet. I spent my day between the insurance company, the garage, the police station... Apart from that I am glad to be home:-)!

Un autre petit coucou... Juste pour vous dire que je suis forcément en retard dans mes projets et visites, j'ai besoin d'un peu de temps... Depuis mon retour (il y n'y a pourtant pas longtemps!!!), j'ai découvert que mon PC ne fonctionnait à nouveau pas correctement, j'y ai consacré un peu de temps sans succès et surtout, ce matin, j'ai voulu prendre ma voiture et, manque de chance, il s'est avéré que quelqu'un l'a fracturée pendant la nuit et a volé des pièces du moteur, rien à l'intérieur, juste sous le capot... J'ai passé ma journée entre garage, commissariat, assurance... A part ça, tout va bien et je suis contente d'être rentrée:-)...

Just a little hello:-)

Just a little hello to tell you I am back and to thank you all for all the love you have left on my blog while I was away! I can't wait to see what you all created during my holiday and will visit you ASAP:-)! I had a great time with my family and I got to colour a lot since my other half very kindly suggested I take my Copics on holiday with us LOL! I just could not refuse and will show you soon what I have coloured:-).

Cupcake 149 DT card

So I hope Mr Blogger is doing his job:-) Today is the new challenge at Cupcake, chosen by our talented Rachel, and it is to create a "Single Layer Card"! Quite a challenge, but a fun one! Bonjour à toutes! Je ne suis pas là, pas sur la plage non plus car il est trop tôt, mais bien en vacances! Je compte donc sur Blogger pour publier mon petit message! Nouveau challenge chez Cupcake, choisi cette semaine par Rachel qui souhaite voir des cartes qui ne comportent qu'une seule couche! Un vrai challenge, mais très sympa! The challenge was the perfect opportunity to focus on what I love (yes, colouring:-)!),  and I wanted my card to look like a postcard. The trickiest part was the masking and if you know the background stamp I used you can feel there is something wrong... the sun, supposed to be on the left, but it made more sense for my lovely lady to be sunbathing not with the sun in her back:-) so I used the background stamp twice for my image.

Ce challenge m'a donné l'occasion de me concentrer sur ce que j'aime le plus (oui, le coloriage!) et je voulais faire une carte un peu style carte postale. Le plus délicat dans cette carte, le fait de masquer pour créer ma petite scène... et si vous connaissez mon tampon de fond, vous avez peut-être le sentiment que quelque chose cloche... le soleil, censé être à gauche, mais qu'il m'a fallu changer de place car je ne trouvais pas logique de bronzer le soleil dans le dos:-)! J'ai donc utilisé mon tampon de fond 2 fois.
