Colouring Wet:-)

Hello all! I hope you are well? First, thank you so much for the comments you have left me, they mean a lot! I am sorry I am behind with my commenting, I have been busy making things and going to Paris, trying to make the most of the holidays which are almost finished, so please bear with me, I hope to be able to catch up with you all tonight and this weekend! 

The card I am showing you today was made with two challenges in mind, but it started with the Make It Colourful Challenge, which is to colour objects that seem wet without using glaze, only colouring. I have carefully read all the tips and advice by the DT as well as studied their gorgeous cards, and really wanted to give it a try. So here is my make...

I tried on a draft image, then worked on the one I am showing you. I worked in two different ways. For the raindrops in the sky, after drawing some lines to suggest rain, I drew drops and used BG000, then B91, C1, a bit of C3 at the bottom and B91 again on one side of the drops. If my line got too thick, I used my colourless blender inside the drop to get some of the white back inside the drop.

Now for the objects and characters, I coloured my whole image, leaving no part uncoloured. Then, magic weapon, I took my colourless blender and drew tiny drops, on the umbrella, the frog, the boots and a few on the girl. Then I underlined the drops on one side with one hue darker than the area I was in, and added a  tiny spot with the same Copic inside the drops. The reason I worked that way is that my white gel pen drew too thick lines and I was not satisfied, so that's the alternative method I tried. The only place where I have used my white pen is the puddle.

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #16 GDT cards:-)

Hello all! I hope you are well? It is time for another great challenge at Little Miss Muffet and this time we would like you to use "multiple images"! And remember, you do not have to use Little Miss Muffet Stamps images to join us:-)! 

Bonjour à tous! C'est l'heure du nouveau challenge chez Little Miss Muffet, et cette fois nous voudrions que vous utilisiez "plusieurs images" dans vos créations! Et je vous rappelle qu'il n'est pas nécessaire d'utiliser des images Little Miss Muffet pour jouer:-)! 

Actually, I have not made 1 but 2 GDT cards! I had so much fun playing with these adorable Sugar 'n Spice dolls, I just had to make multiple cards too:-) And to be perfectly honest, I even started another one, but I thought you might be fed up, so I will show it to you later!

En fait, je n'ai pas fait une mais deux cartes en tant que Guest Designer pour ce challenge! J'ai adoré jouer avec ces petites poupées, et je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de faire plusieurs cartes! ET pour être vraiment honnête, j'en ai même commencé une troisième, mais je me suis dit que vous en auriez peut-être assez, alors elle sera pour plus tard!

I merged the 4 images together in MS Word, then "cropped" each image to make the lower part of their bodies disappear then inserted/drew a rectangle. It hid my image, so I right clicked to reach the "settings" of  my rectangle and put "transparency" to 100% so that the images would show. I hope what I'm saying makes sense, I find it difficult to explain in English, my MS Word being in French:-)!

For inspiration, I used something that has kept me busy recently... I have been sorting hundreds of photos, actually 10 years of photos, because we have decided it would be nice to have albums for our children... Hence my cards!!! I have been seeing photos everywhere:-)!

 Pour ces cartes, j'ai été inspirée par mon quotidien... Nous avons décidé de classer des centaines de photos, 10 ans de photos pour faire des albums, travail de titan!!! D'où mes cartes, je vois des photos partout:-)!

Quite simple, as always! No DPs, I stamped all around my card using a snowflake clear stamp by Inkadinkado:-). Très simple à nouveau! Pas de papier à motifs, j'ai utilisé un gros tampon flocon de Inkadinkado tout autour de la carte, et voilà!

The star shaped buttons are paper buttons that I made, using a tutorial mentioned on All that Scraps blog. For one button, I punched 4 stars, glued them together, then pierced 2 holes with my piercing tool, and covered each pile of 4 stars with Diamond Glaze. I colored the floss with my Copics. 

Les boutons en forme d'étoiles sont en papier. J'ai suivi et adapté un tutoriel dont le lien était sur le blog d'All That Scraps. Chaque bouton est fait de 4 étoiles perforées, collées, j'ai ensuite fait 2 trous avec mon perce papier, et recouvert chaque bouton de vernis Diamond Glaze. Et j'ai colorié mon fil blanc avec mes Copics.

A bit plain...

Hello all! I hope you are well? I would like to show you a card I made for a friend's birthday... My cards are always simple but this one is probably the plainest card you will see in Blogland... no DPs, almost no embellishments, no layout:-)... It is not that I am being lazy, it is just that here I tried several things but always came back to my simple layout, so I decided it was better to keep it extremely simple. 

Bonjour à toutes! Aujourd'hui, une petite carte pour l'anniversaire d'une amie... Je vous préviens, c'est la carte la plus simple de Blogland... Toujours simple chez moi, mais encore plus ici... pas de DP, très peu d'embellissements, une disposition simplissime... non, ce n'est pas de la paresse, c'est juste qu'après avoir essayé plein de choses, j'en revenais toujours à l'extrême simplicité, j'ai donc cessé de lutter!

TRYING to colour dark skin:-)...

Hello all! I hope you are well? Just a quickie post from me to share the card I would like to enter in a few challenges, before it is too late:-)!!! It is the first time I have tried to colour darker skin (and frizzy hair), and I have come to 2 conclusions: firstly, I need to practise (for both), secondly I think I have to buy more Copics! I am not satisfied, but here is my card anyway...

Bonsoir! Rapidement une petite carte pour participer à plusieurs challenges:-) C'est la première fois que j'essaie de colorier la peau dans des tons plus foncés (et des cheveux crêpus) et je suis parvenue à 2 conclusions: premièrement il faut vraiment que je m'entraîne (pour les 2) et deuxièmement il faut que j'achète des Copics en plus, il me manque des couleurs:-)! Je ne suis pas satisfaite, mais voici quand même le résultat de mes essais...

I first coloured a Mini Tilda to try the darker skin tones, then I decided I would try on a large face, more difficult obviously but it seemed the right thing to do to play in the challenge, that's why I chose that stamp.
