Black and white and a few challenges

Hello all! I hope you are well and managed to watch the wedding for those who wanted to! I tried to watch it from work during my lunch break on the BBC website (not on TV, because I wanted to see it in English, not with French comments!) but I could not see the videos, there were too many people watching I guess... Arrrghhhh, technology, technology... But I managed to see some reruns tonight:-), better than nothing!

I have a card to show you, surprising I know:-), and I need to hurry I think to enter some of my challenges!

J'ai été un peu prise par le mariage royal, que j'ai bien essayé de regarder via le site de la BBC (déformation professionnelle?) à ma pause déjeuner, mais je n'ai pas vu grand-chose de la cérémonie, trop de monde sur le site pour voir les vidéos... Arrrghhh, la technologie, c'est merveilleux quand ça marche, comme d'hab... Mais bon je me suis rattrapée ce soir:-)! Et j'ai une carte à vous montrer, surprenant, je sais:-)... Happy Easter and new challenge at Cupcake!

Hello all and Happy Easter Monday! I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend:-)... Well, I am but it could be better... Aaaarrrrghhhh! No, this time it is not because of my card (see previous post), but because of technology! I apologize if I have not come to your blog yet, but I have spent hours and hours on my PC trying to make it work and things are just getting worse and worse, more and more errors... so I am upset! I can still use my laptop but I need my PC! Anyway I won't bore you with computer problems, I have much nicer things to say! Voilà, vous savez maintenant... C'est cette horrible tache sur le genou d'Anya qui ressemble à de la cire en vrai arrrrghh, et je ne sais pas ce qui s'est passé!!!

2/ I saw the challenge at All That Scraps, " water can", and one of the DT members, Nancy, made a gorgeous card with a watering can image I have and like, so I decided I would use it and immediately had an ATC in mind. It is totally simple, not artistic at all, but I really like the size:-) Sorry for the poor picture though...

2/ J'ai vu le challenge "arrosoir" d'All That Scraps et Nancy, l'un des membres de la DT, a fait une superbe carte avec une image que j'ai et j'aime, j'ai donc décidé de l'utiliser et j'ai d'emblée pensé à faire une ATC. Rien d'artistique, la simplicité incarnée, mais je trouve le format très mignon! Pardon pour la photo vraiment pas top par contre...

3/ Apologies, I said... I would like to apologize to all the lovely friends (you know who you are...) who have given me awards in the past few weeks and that I have not posted because I did not have or take the time to post them. I did appreciate each one of them and now when I receive one, I don't blog it because I know there are some that I haven't posted. But I am walking in circles... So, I do apologize for those I have missed , please don't feel hurt, but I have decided I would start blogging awards again and try to have a fresh start!

3/ Des excuses... Toutes mes excuses à toutes mes adorables copines (vous vous reconnaîtrez...) qui m'ont décerné des awards ces semaines passées et que je n'ai pas postés sur mon blog parce que je n'ai pas eu/ pris le temps de le faire! J'ai vraiment apprécié pourtant et maintenant, à chaque award, je me dis que je ne peux pas le poster car il y en a d'autres que je n'ai pas mis sur mon blog... Je tourne en rond... Alors, mille pardons pour les awards que j'ai manqués, ne soyez pas vexées, mais j'ai décidé qu'il fallait un début à tout et prendre le taureau par les cornes, donc...

Valentine's Day is over, I know, but this card is for someone special and since she is French and can't speak English very well, I am not going to translate:-)! A close up...

I stamped 2 images, one for the background and coloured it very quickly, the other image was coloured then cut out and put on the other image on the background using 3D foam. That technique takes more time, but I really like it. You can guess that's what I did if you look at the sideways view below...

Comme il n'y a pas si longtemps, j'ai tamponné l'image 2 fois, une pour le fond, coloriée très rapidement et une autre que j'ai coloriée puis découpée et montée sur mousse 3D sur celle du fond. Cela prend un peu de temps, mais j'aime beaucoup cette technique, que vous pouvez deviner sur la photo suivante...
