Fabulous Friday ;)

Hello everyone! I have always loved Fridays, I love them even more because it is Fabulous Friday at Tiddly Inks, inspiration time from the DT! There is also the hop going on, celebrating the amazing new release with 2 fantastic prizes - you can start the hop and read the details HERE! And if you're looking for my hop post, just click HERE!
Friday means it is also the start of a new challenge at A Creative Romance, the theme this time is "Masking" and the prize is a £10 Gift voucher generously offered by The Ribbon Girl!

My project today is another attempt at colouring scenes combining media and using my brand new watercolours with my old beloved Copics ;) Here it is...

Stamps: Tiddly Inks Bewitching set, Kraftin' Kimmie Haunted House
Colouring: Watercolour and Copics on Langton

To make my scene, I used the Tiddly Inks Bewitching clear stamp set (available from Tiddly Inks HERE or for Europe from Quixotic Paperie HERE) and Kraftin' Kimmie Haunted House. First I stamped the beautiful witch, Alison the Witch (available as digi as well), masked her and added the pumpkin from my clear stamp set behind her, then I stamped the house. I coloured the background with watercolours, then the house with watercolours too and then coloured my witch and pumpkin in Copics.

Challenges I am entering:
Crafty Ribbons - 3 of Something (3 stamps to make my scene - the house, the witch, the pumpkin)
Whimsy Stamps - Clean And Simple (entry #2)
Try It On Tuesday - Create A Scene
MarkerPop - Anything Goes
7 Kids College Fund - Anything Goes
Penny Black And More - In The Garden (entry #3)
Pile It On - Outdoors

Thank you very much for your visit, have a great weekend!

Make It Crafty Vixie

Hello everyone! I'm back with some Make It Crafty inspiration today, with a card featuring an image I love, the gorgeous Vixie, in violet!

I merged Vixie and Butterfly Swing in Microsoft Word (I mirrored the swing because it felt more natural for me to have Vixie looking on the left), printed my image on Make It Colour Blending Card and coloured it with my Copics. The DPs are by Kaisercraft and the sentiment I added is by My Mind's Eye. Here is a close up on my image and the colours I used...

Skin: E000, 00, 02, 11, 23, R20
Hair: C3, 5, 7, 9, V01, 04, 06, 09
Wings: BG000, 02, 05, 07, 09, V01, 04, 06, 09
Dress: V000, 01, 04, 06, 09
Swing: E31, 55, 59, Y11, 21, 26, 28
Butterflies: V01, 04, 06, 09
Sky: BG000, BV20, C00, 0, 1, 3

I was in a completely violet mood, I decided she would have purple highlights in her hair too;)

Colouring Grass With Copics

Hi everyone! If you're looking for my candy, please click HERE!
Today I'm sharing a tutorial I made for my Make It Monday post at CC Designs, a tutorial on how I colour grass with Copics. The stamps I am using are CC Designs Summer Swing Birgitta and Summer Swing and the Copics used for the grass are G99, YG03, 17 and 67. You don't have to use exactly the same greens as me, you just need 3 or 4 greens that you like and that work well together.

*************************************
STEP 1
I always start by colouring at least all the parts the blades of grass will touch since the blades will be on top of them, so I always colour the sky and here the tree trunk and Birgitta's legs (and while I was at it, I decided to colour her completely :)!)

*************************************
STEP 2
With the chisel end of your marker, going from left to right or right to left, lay colour on the grass area with your lightest colour - YG03 here. You can do that quite quickly, the marker strokes will be covered later.

*************************************
STEP 3
Take your darkest colour - G99 here - and create blades of grass starting at the base of the blade and going upwards. You need to do a flicking motion from the bottom to the top and with a light touch. See how my blades are larger at the base. I have also added some G99 to the area that will be darker, under Birgitta and at the bottom of the trunk.

*************************************
STEP 4
Now create blades of grass with your YG67 doing the same movement as in Step 3 and filling some of the spaces.

*************************************
STEP 5
Use your YG17 marker and do as in step 4, filling the spaces between the blades you have already drawn and covering some.

*************************************
STEP 6
Now use your lightest colour YG03 to cover the empty spaces, still doing a flicking motion.

Done!

And here is my CAS card...

Sky: BG0000, BV20, C00, 0, 1
Grass: G99, YG03, 17, 67
Tree: E13, 15, 19, 31, 37, 59
Skin: E000, 00, 02, 11, 23, R20
Dress and Ribbons: V000, 01, 09, 12, 15, 17

Challenges I am entering:
Penny Black and More - In the Garden (entry #2)

I hope you found this little tutorial helpful! Thank you very much for your visit, have a lovely day!

No Line Fairytale for Quixotic Paperie :)

Hello everyone! I am back to share my Quixotic Inspirations post and today I have a fairytale scene I made with 3 rubber stamps using Zoe's No Line technique and combining watercolours and Copics. It is the second "sort of painting" I do with watercolours, number one was here - it takes a lot of time but I am so enjoying myself!!! Here it is, framed since it is a birthday gift...

I stamped my three images onto watercolour paper using Adirondack Cloudy Blue Ink. First, I stamped the beautiful Snow White by Some Odd Girl, then Make It Crafty Tree Of Love, masked my two stamped images and added the fence - Make It Crafty Petals And Palings. I love this tree and this fence, they really are a must have for scenes! I coloured my background using watercolours, then coloured Snow White with my Copics, and added blades of grass and flowers with my watercolours again. I recreated the lines of facial features with a brown Polychromo pencil.

Challenges I am entering:
Penny Black And More - In The Garden
Addicted to CAS - Summer
One Stop Craft - Keep It Simple

I hope I have inspired you to create your little scenes! There are lots of Make It Crafty backgrounds available from Quixotic Paperie and lots of adorable characters - like Some Odd Girls HERE! Thank you very much for your visit! Hugs

SCACD Digital Release Hop

Hello everyone! BLOG HOP Day today! If you are looking for my Make It Crafty Tea Party Blog Hop post, please click HERE!

I am back and super excited to be a part of the SCACD Digital Release Hop! You should have hopped here from Kathi's blog, if not or if you want to start at the beginning, please go to the first stop - Alex's blog!

Today, SCACD is formally premiering the SCACD Digital site by adding over 35 images designed by Carmen Medlin!!! Carmen's range is fun, fresh as well as elegant and will have something for everyone! Susana has added quite a few never before seen fab images as well as taken some past rubber stamps and turned them into digi for this release.

Reminder to Our International Friends: As you know, SCACD has stopped the sale of physical items. However, international customers can now purchase SCACD Digital images only:)!
Join us today to celebrate this release with the SCACD DT as well as guests (thank you ;)!). If you lose your way, check out the store blog for the entire list!

I have done two projects for this hop, in different styles - the first one features an adorable little image called "Home Is Where the Heart Is":)...

Image and sentiment: SCACD Home Is Where The Heart Is
Colouring: Copics on Make It Colour Blending Card

My second project is really special to me... because it is a first ;) I have dared try something new... It features a gorgeous image called Caged Heart (also still available in rubber both at SCACD and in the UK at Quixotic Paperie) whom I fell in love with - here it is...

I felt this gorgeous lady came straight out from a painting, so I decided to create the painting around her. I have bought some "REAL" watercolour lately (I mean not my beloved pencils or markers which I still love) and I have wanted to try and PAINT backgrounds for some time. And when I saw "Caged Heart", it seemed obvious now was the time to do what I had in mind and test the new watercolours! Because I can't draw AT ALL, I have been a bit scared to try but I'm happy I did in the end! So the background is watercolour and my lady is coloured in Copics :)

 Image: SCACD Caged Heart
Colouring: Watercolouring and Copics on Canson Montval

Challenges I am entering with project 2:
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Make It Crafty Scene in no line and pencils...

Hello everyone! Not long ago, on Facebook, a challenge was set by Melanie to colour a Make It Crafty scene in Zoe's no line technique. I have already done a few images using the no line technique, not many and no scenes, and I thought I would push the already difficult challenge a little further and do it in pencils. GREAT FUN!!! I took my image and my pencils with me on holiday - and well... here is the result!

The two images combined for the scene are the beautiful Pipi Faye and the Whimsical Flowers background. I started by colouring the background using Aquatones and Neocolor IIs with water and then coloured the characters, flowers and details with my Polychromos. I added two Make It Crafty Corners and that was it!

Images:  Make It Crafty Pipi Faye, Make It Crafty Whimsical Flowers digi
Colouring: Aquatone, Neocolor II, Polychromos on Langton

I will keep practising and hope to do more no line very soon, it is really a fun technique! Have you tried it ;)?
